Good morning JT world!

I am far more awake now to give you a more thorough review of last night

Firstly, Jon was in a great mood, he was really funny saying how he's only a man and has so many temptations but how we were going to get him into trouble! Then he ripped his shirt open and of course the arena just exploded!

I'm not really sure if it's a regular thing but he started off at the back of the arena so it was a nice suprise for everyone, got us all going! LMS is such a great track. I love how he was pointing to the band saying "now here's the band, they really play i'll count the first one in". It had a great effect.

Next few songs were excellent as they were up-tempo. The whole crowd was so into it. As I said previously, we were second row down from the very top of the arena and even during slow songs people had arms around each other dancing. I've been to concerts in this arena before for other artists and been told to sit down because I'm blocking their view.

IML went down so well, I honestly couldn't hear Jon over the crowd! I loved that.

No Apologies- great live. Really good! I'd love to hear TILTIL too from the GH. Jon was explaining how it's thanks to the Aussies who didn't want a ballad from GH that NA is now the next new single.

Bad Medicine has to be the highlight by this point in the show everyone was dancing around like crazy. Then Bobby came down and they went into Pretty Woman and Jon was just on fire by this point and was like "should i do it? should i do it?" and the crowd were screaming "YEAH!" and he went into Shout. I ADORE shout it gets everyone going everytime! I made a point of looking around and everyone was jumping in the stands it was fantastic! Jon put his moves on too, copying the silhouettes of the women on the screen and moving like them. He got the crowd laughing. He really had us eating out of the palm of his hand, he's such a great frontman.

Although I'm a Richie girl through and through, I have to say LYHOM was my low point for the evening. I just think there are certain songs that Richie pulls off but I think this song belongs to Jon. I think it was played at a slower pace too and it just did not have that "wembley 95" feeling anymore. Still love the man though!

Although I enjoyed the acoustic set I think the show died down a little with WDYG playing and a few of the newer tracks. Although I enjoyed hearing more circle tracks, I think the atmosphere died a little while those songs were on.

WSYCGH...I don't think works in Australia. I heard it didn't work in Perth either. I think it should be off the setlist for our country. Jon started with the "if i was to say...it's alright!" but as soon as he introduces the song it doesn't get a big reaction. I think in place of that he could've included something better.

Finally, even if LTOR isn't a well known song for casual fans, the crowd enjoyed it. Jon performs it so well, it's such a great live track, I'm so happy i got to see it. He walked through the crowd doing the "woah oh oh's" and kissed a few girls to the delight of the whole arena

Encore:

Dry County...wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow wow it was a little silent in my section as the music started and I just turned to my brother and screamed "OH MY GOD DRY COUNTY!" hahaha, It had such a great atmosphere. I really enjoyed watching Jon's facial expressions, you can see how much the song means to him. And Richie's solo was brilliant!!

Wanted, the national anthem. Everyone was up on their feet for it, it was great.

LOAP...needless to say song of the night. Everyone was jumping up and down he made us sing the last two choruses and it was so loud! Amazing!

Overall, I was very impressed. I didn't know where the show was going to go with the mix-up's of having KTF early and I thoroughly enjoyed that. I am hoping tonight's show is just as great, looking forward to round number two!!!

My predictions/what i hope to hear for tonight:
BOB
Always
These Days (i wish)
Runaway
Blaze of Glory
Sleep when im dead

thank you so much for that review. I got goosebumps.. I can't wait for tonight. I hope no one tells me to sit down.. Rod Laver is my fav venue to see artists so I hope Etihad goes completly bonkers tonight.
Being the "first" show I am hoping that it is full of really super hyper fans and Jon really gets into it.
Hoping for Always as well

This had to be the PBP I slept through? That sounds more like a kickass show.

Thanks for the review.

WSYCGH didn't do well here for the LH tour either, they keep persisting with it though.

Id also like to see Richie doing a different song.
