Unless Melbourne is different to Perth, Brisbane and Sydney, the support act will be a local band. Each local band from every city was chosen through an online voting competition through a radio statio (Mix 94.5 in Perth).

Silly question, but I assume cameras are allowed?

Just asking because, in 2007 I went a concert at Vodaphone arena. Signs were all over the place, saying No Cameras allowed, so I didn't take one. When we got into the stadium, everyone pulled their cameras out.

Will I have to hide my camera or will it be okay to take them in?

I took my camera into the U2 show and many others do the same.
Small digital cameras are no problem I think. Unless you have a huge professional camera with telescope lens.

I remember somebody saying on here (I think it was Terri) that the general rule is no removable lenses. So you can bring in a $500 camcorder if you want, as long as it's not a big professional thing.

It probably was me, because I answer that questions a lot. As far as still cameras go, the rule here in the U.S. is no "professional cameras" and they define professional as one with a removable lens. However, that doesn't mean that you can take in a camcorder. Officially, video is still a no-no. (Nevermind that Jon talks about YouTube regularly.)

Awesome. I've only got a small digital camera which can fit in my bag. No removable lense, just a regular camera. I'll hide it away just in case, though!
