I thinking diamond ring both nights was so beautiful, i just watched them on the big screen mesmerised by their voices and the passion in their movements.

I also agree that Jon looked tired by the end, rubbing his eyes. I do admire his energy though because he kept it up all night at rod laver and most of etihad. I thought it was cute how when at Etihad, he let us sing the first verse and chorus of Wanted, he turned around and sneezed and a few people around me yelled BLESS YOU! hahaha.
Thats cute I love DR too I love it when they sing together like that.
First I thought Jon had sweat run into his eyes then I thought he may have had a touch of hayfever.
For those living in Melb, this year is terrible for hayfever sufferers.

This is my review for nite 2 in melb.
Well heres a story for you. After seeing jovi at rod laver arena i wasnt thinking of going to etihad until i heard somebody in an internet cafe mention that there were side viewing seats for 50aus dollars. So i ran to etihad at 7pm and picked up a great seat for 50 buks.I knew it would be tough for the boys to beat the rod laver show as they were on fire that nite.
Anyhow nite started with blood on blood good choice. The 2nd tune WWBTF had nothing at etihad.Very flat indeed,Altho bad name sounded great. At this point in time i thought the melb crowd would pick up.But the crowd was lame and very dead.Especially after the next 2 lost highway songs.I would've pref they play those tunes at the arena. They just didnt work in a stadium.
The crowd didnt really pick up until its my life and there were a tonne of people sitting down.I mean for gods sake why come to the gig if you want to sit down.
I will say that Jon did look tired after the friday night performance but gave what he could.
The Positives;Raise your hands had people going off,its my life ,bad medicine and prayer all sounded fantastic with the crowd finally waking up.No apologies got a polite response.Have a nice day was another crowd pleaser.
The NEGATIVES;Diamond ring...boring,the lost highway songs just didnt kick at all.Couldnt hear richies guitar and the show wasnt loud at all.
The melbourne crowd werent great.I flew in from sydney and got to see the boys at rod laver and the crowd were right into it.Families taking there 14-16 yr old daughters who wouldnt know more than 2 jovi songs looked bored. They should stay home and listen to garbage like akon and god knows what. Why waste your parents money.I gave the show a 7.5 out of 10.If the corwd was better id give it an 8.

Best story of the night. The guy next to me had a son all of 9years of age who was playing air guitar and high fiving me while singing every bj tune.I mean every tune word for word. That was brilliant.

I'd finally like to thank god that i am alive t'day.Tiger flight 5102 took off down the runway and it was just abt to fly when the engine blew.No kidding,The flighty started yelling heads down, heads down, while the pilot braked and we screeched abt 100 metres down the runway.Thank god the damn plane didnt go up in the air as the engine had blown. This at 0650am.

Otherwise thanks to the people of melbourne and thanks to bon jovi. The boys have still got it.Im now back home and looking to catch them in sydney for the 3rd show.Hope you liked my review.
I read about the plane incident in the paper today. Glad you are ok. At least you know their emergency procedures worked.

This was my first ever Jovi concert, so I was hoping for a great setlist.
After buying a ton of merch (you don't want to know how much, lol) we all lined up to file in to the stadium. I was seated by 5.30pm. I figured it'd be better to get in early rather than get stuck in a crowd of people.

The support act, whoever they are, were total shit. No one liked them and Jovi were probably listening to them backstage thinking how shit they were.

When Jovi came on everyone was out of their seats. It was good to hear BOB as this was the song we'd expected. I did NOT want to hear WLOL, I hate that song, and it's dead boring. Three LH songs were not what I wanted, especially when we only got two Circle songs - but at least we didn't get WFTWM!
Make A Memory was awesome, I was really happy to hear that one. WWWB sounds great on the album but I don't think it sounds that great live.

Runaway was super cool, didn't expect that one at all. I was expecting Prayer to be the last song of the night. I was intending to record the entire encore, but when Prayer started I couldn't set my camera up fast enough and I missed most of it. It made me a little disappointed but I was interested in knowing what the final song of the night would be.

I was THRILLED to hear Always! I was wondering if they'd do Dry County again, I wouldn't have minded that song, but with Always, well, I was quite happy. Two of my absolute favourite songs were played and I couldn't have asked for anything more.

I expected Wanted, and so did everyone else, it seemed. I hate that song, to be honest, does nothing for me at all, but it doesn't sound too bad live. Not a bad performance.

I did see Jon rubbing his eyes when he was singing, I wondered if he was just joking with us or if he was actually knackered.

To end the set with Saturday Night, you couldn't choose a better closing song. Very appropriate for a Saturday Night concert!

The set list was a downer, though. I was hoping for more Circle songs, we got a lot of crap songs and I did get a bit bored.

And while I liked where I was seated - in front of the stage, but way back - I was in the last row of A4 block, which I wasn't happy about. For $300+ I was expecting to be a heck of a lot closer than that. I don't think I got my monies worth there. With all the people standing up I had to crane my neck to see the stage, and I ended up watching the screen half the time. The pictures I managed to take were pictures of the screen because I couldn't see a thing. Jon and the boys were like ants on the stage.

It was a good night though, apart from the setlist - and the idiots who spilled beer and coke all over the floor, so leaving the stadium your feet got stuck to the floor. I got stuck in the massive crowd afterward. Everyone was heading toward the bridge and I got pushed in that direction. Far too many people, and not a very good set up, IMO.

I'd go see them again, of course, as long as they get rid of the LH songs (except Memory) and sing Never Say Goodbye.

As this was my first ever Jovi concert, you might expect me to rate it a 10/10. Well, it was awesome, but not totally fantastic.

I'd rate it a 7/10.
Hi Makkede...just reading your review...I remember our banter re: the prices a few months ago ...good to read you enjoyed the show, especially as it was your first BJ gig.

How ironic, someone called me a fag after they had a breakdown over a love song.

Gimp, think I'll follow a few of the others and pop you on ignore.

Sure is

Click on someone's name, go to their profile. You'll see two options in yellow, one that adds the user to your buddy list and another that adds them to your ignore list.
