Right now I'm quite happy I going to only two shows. Since the end of O2 shows they have been playing mostly the same setlist, I'm very dissapointed.

It's just like the beginning of the South America tour. They're just "warming up". Look at what the shows at the end of that short leg were like. Buenos Aires and the Brazil shows had great setlists. Basically, if your show is at the beginning of a leg, you're screwed. Europe and NA will get better sets for longer because those legs are longer.

What Do You Got? was a major piss break! So many people headed out when it started.
No pyro at all, kind of weird for a stadium rawk show.
Here's a short clip of Lay Your Hands...

especially for those travelling there to see the guys
I recall after helsinki saying to Thierry the show was so blahhhh but also I recall that show as a great souvenir but I report my satisfaction on the place the people the midnight sun and all ..I loved helsinki I loved finland but the show was average auto pilot
yes i think quite a few people do that too. Sadly, for quite a few as well, as long as Jon looks hot or shakes his butt they consider that a good show.

Your right.
That annoys me alot, after doing this for so many years they should not need to "warm up". I would expect it to be the other way around and start off full of energy and passion and then slow down towards the end.

I might go into work tomorrow and say to my boss, since Monday is the first leg of the week, I am just warming up

exactly I was at a few shows where ppl said it was great just because Jon was pretending like acting like a chippendale (they wish lol) ... but when he does that it means (well in europe I mean) that he has given up on doing something special music wise and he just plays the easy butt shaking (very superficial shows most of the time)

@ twinfan (I don't know how to multiquote shame on me) I wish I was as optimistic as you about the warm up .....it may be like the beginning of south america in that leg too but maybe not ... and even if it is the case for the band I doubt (with all due respect to all my aussie friends) that the audience will be as good in australia as it was in the 2 major great countries for the best audience argentina and brazil

one thing's for sure. they can not possibly play the very same setlist night after night for 7 months. it will come to a point they'll need a change, for their own sanity, not mentioning ours, and especially the people who will attend several shows. when that change happens remains to be seen. i hope it's sooner than later.

of course the ideal situation would be changing the setlist often, if not every night, taking into consideration the songs that are more popular where they are playing at, like he apparently said he did. that would be the professional thing to do. it's not rocket science changing a few songs every night, keeping a core list of songs. and if they don't sound check or practice anymore, they should. after all it's their job, init?
