Said there was 35,000 there... Not sure on that, would prob need the back floor section full to get that number.

If that was the gold tickets, they were the ones that were sold out according to ticketek. Probably because they were reasonably priced. It was the expensive tickets that were not selling.

I read the comments, and it seems a lot of people were not happy with the sound. Who from this board went and what was the sound like?

Sound was muddy in the seats, but it always is at that venue. Vocals were loud in the mix.

It's shaped like a giant bedpan, or caketin (which is its nickname). Probably ok on the floor though. I had similar seats at the AC/DC show, and that was worse with a bounce-back echo due to their speaker setup.
