People can debate the set list forever, I would have liked Runaway and ITA but you won't keep everyone happy.

I re-learned tonight that they are one of the greatest Rock and Roll bands ever.
welcome on the board and thank you for your review ...

thanks for the reviews and pictures, i'll be looking forward to the videos.

see these posts from kenobi and savvi just prooves that to us a set may look too vanilla but it's almost always fantastic to the people who actually attend the show. i'm glad they played a few more songs than usual and hope they keep the 25 songs per show average

looks like i have 6 months to start enjoying WFTWM because apparently, it's here to stay

You know why? Because it's Bobby who plays it Richie stops playing when he starts singin'. Him doing LYHOM is one big mistake, even bigger than These Days few years back.

I think so, too. Homebound Train and IBTFY are perfect for him. More of the first than the second, too. He should go on a little rotation between these songs.

i agree, i d also liked to see him doing stranger in this town occassionaly and some covers like when a blind man cries for example.
i dont know if jon dictates every last choise or if richie is just too lazy, i realise that ibtfy works much better and is a hit and one of richies favorites but since that spot of the show can be about the jam song, why not be more creative?

I heard the band soundchecking No Apologies and Something for the Pain just before 5 and you have no idea how much it meant to me to get the latter at this show. I know it's been semi-regular this tour, but I don't exactly get to a lot of shows and a couple of years ago had given up on ever hearing anything from These Days. Really special moment for me. Saturday Night was also acoustic and I loved it, so sue me.

I think I actually howled when Always came on. So so so happy to get it.

Crowd lapped up Jon's Mick Jagger impersonation.

I don't think Richie's LYHOM got the appreciation it deserved. Wish he'd do Homebound Train again. Suits his voice better.

As Savvi alluded to, Who Says got the same reaction as it did in 2008, which is not surprising given the song didn't ****ing chart here. By this point, having got my TD song, I was in such a good mood that I even did some "s'alrights" with Jon when he was starting the song. But I stopped after copping some weird looks.

I was wondering if Jon was going to mention the 30th anniversary of Lennon's death but he didn't.

The acoustics at this ground are still ****ing shit.

Some woman was eyeballing me funny on the train home. I hope she didn't recognise me from the Prayer video (but my hair and everything was completely different so surely not). I guess I'll have to upload that to Youtube eventually, huh.

I haven't had a look at my videos yet but I think Savvi's would be better as I was a bit further back. I'll try to get mine up soon though. (BTW Sav, were you wearing a blue/white striped top and jeans? I thought I saw you when Village Kid were playing but I wasn't sure).
Glad you had a fab time Lee-ann and you got your TD song

I havent seen your prayer video, would love to see it, let us know when you up load it...

Dawn

Im home! And man what a show! Firstly I need to say that I am sooooo happy that the setlist was 25 songs long. I heard a security guard saying that the boys needed to be out by 10:30 due to restrictions and they had about 22 songs planned. So was great that they managed to fit in another 3.

I was hoping for Always/Bed of Roses all night and when I heard that encore rip open with that drum beat I nearly died! The crowed went insane for it. Ive never yelled so loud before haha. Jon's vocals were great! Not a note out.

Richie was also great. Keep the Faith is when he is in his element best. The second solo in the outro is bloody brilliant. I loved it! The whole night was great.

Jon was in a good mood which is surprising considering he had a mini tantrum in the beginning of ISWID. Tico was playing the beat and him and Richie were about to bust into the opening guitar riff. Anyway, they started playing but Jon's guitar wasnt working. He tried for a sec to fix it but couldnt so walked back a few steps and literally threw the guitar down into the walkway where they get on to stage and threw his hands in the air while shaking his head. I thought it would ruin his mood for the night but it didnt. He went on to imitate Mick Jagger during start me up. Was quite funny.

I couldnt help but laugh when Jon introduced Who Says You Cant Go Home. There was almost no reaction from the crowed. Jon needs to learn that no one here knows that song! It may have been a hit over in the US but it didnt even reach the top 100 here! Would have much preferred ITA than that.

The inclusion of both What Do You Got (on the circle) AND No Apologies was great and unexpected. No Apologies works well live! I was fist pumping like no tomorrow . Was also great that they done FOUR songs on the circle! Particularly because I was at the barrier just outside the circle haha. Jon sang WDYG alone, then Richie joined him for IBTFY (which is always a highlight), and then Tico and Dave joined for SFTP and SIBSN.

I was really close to them at this point. I looked Tico in the eye and put my hand in the air screaming at him like a mad man, and he squinted at me and smile lmao. He has such a funny smile.

A minor let down of the night was LYHOM. One of the main reasons why I love that song so much is because of that killer guitar riff. But live you can barely hear it. It might have been a stuff up in the mixing but I expected it to be a little more powerful.

Wanted was freakin amazing. One of the best songs to sing live ever. And doing BOTH Raise Your Hands and Have a Nice Day (which was a big hit over here) was awesome! It scared me though cos I thought they were doing so many songs in the main set which would leave them with just 2 songs in the encore... but NO! They played Always and IOFASLOFJAFRIRTO it was so good.

They need to fix up the LH/WLOL part though. I LOOOOVE the song to death (its in my top 5 songs Jovi songs) but I have to admit that WLOL does nothing spectacular . They should remove it and replace it with Love's the Only Rule or ITA.

ISWID and LH were surprisingly good. Not great, but better than I expected. And even more surprising was Work for the Working Man. I really enjoyed it.

Overall, I am so happy with the setlist. It could have been better but I cant complain with 25 songs. I wish they had played ITA and LTOR though. There are a few songs they could easily replace them with.

OH!! And also! Jon saw my sign which said "I Believe". He read it during Richie's solo in IBTFY. He looked directly at it... but alas, they didnt play it. Ah well, I wasnt expecting them to play it haha.

Oh and finally, was HILARIOUS seeing you up on the big screen during Prayer Lee-Ann. What a laugh! haha. Good on you.

AMAZING NIGHT!

I have video which i'll put up eventually.
great review and looking forward to your videos...

Dawn
