And I'd Die For You is a surprise, but any time the song has been played the last few years, Bobby did the guitar solo, thus I'm completely indifferent to it.

The thing is though - we're spoiled - we've seen the band A LOT. To surprise us they really would have to bring out Prostitute, or Wedding Day, or Temptation. Like they did Santa Fe last tour. You have to appreciate that. It's very, very hard to please die-hards. Given that Richie, who is the only one who will know these obscure songs is out of the picture, there's not a chance of that.

I don't rate it as highly as others do either, but then I've heard it quite a few times live - including the acoustic version.

It's not that hard, but when you resort to the same song 3 tours in a row it's no wonder certain die hards get bored of Dry County now. And I know I'm not the only one, last tour I've talked to loads of die hards feeling the same about the song now. Now I don't need something obscure as Prostitute or The End, but when you're able to tell beforehand what "the surprise" will be it's time to mix up the actual surprise.

Phil X not knowing the songs is no excuse, really. A Bon Jovi song is piss easy to learn, especially when you're as good as Phil X really is. Jon's just not willing to go for it this time around while all it'd take is about 15 minutes of going through a certain song.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Agree, they rely so much on the same songs that they burn them. A setlist from tour to tour should be really different, specially when you have a catalogue like the one Bon Jovi has, not the same as the previous one + 3 new songs.

Some of us STILL haven't heard it live, despite attending a gig from every tour since 1996!!

I'd Die For You is an awesome album track and used to kick ass live. It's a Jon/Richie thing though:

The whole show's a Jon/Richie thing, that's precisely why I'm not there.
