Default Robbie? WTF!!??

Went to the Manchester gig with my wife for another Bon Jovi Tour. Interesting to read people's views comments, many of whom I agree with.
Great stage, good setlist with a few twists and surprises. A missing Richie but an excellent replacement in Phil X as a guitarist - but how much were Richie's harmonies missed?? So noticeable in certain songs - I'll be there for you especially.
Support bands? So so boring!!! Didn't do anything for me - I remember great bands supporting Bon Jovi!
I felt like an imposter on a Saturday night out on the town wearing my 1996 These Days t-shirt!! Hardly a tour shirt in sight on the pitch apart from brand new ones. Never seen people so over-dressed for a rock gig in my life!
Ticket prices? Sure that's been covered before on here - glad I didn't pay full whack! £65???? No wonder the likes of groupon made a killing!
Really enjoyed the gig - to a point, a MAJOR point!!!! There we were singing and rocking away to old favourite "Keep The Faith" when JBJ decided to really test the faith of my wife and I by singing a poor pop song in the middle of it!!!! Let me entertain you??!! WTF??!! Ridiculous decision. Left a bad taste in the mouth - as did all the joy at it!!! I thought I was there at a ROCK gig to see one of the finest ROCK bands perform some great ROCK songs - spoilt by a moment of madness. Even Rockin all over the world AGAIN (tedious and predictable nowadays - made great sense on the 95 tour!) was acceptable and we were so happy not to hear the dreaded "Shout" segway in Bad Medicine!
Rant over! Very good gig became a good gig. Thanks to the boy behind me who tried to explain that BJ often cover a song mid-song...Yes.. I politely told him...I've seen every tour since being a spotty teenager in December 1988!!

I commented on the lack of OLDIE shirts yesterday, the oldest I saw was a KTF tour shirt form the NEC, but that was just ONE. I would dearly love to put my Slippery tour shirt on but I have to admit Its WAAAAAY to small for me now although I suppose a creative needle woman could cut the printed bits out and draft them onto a blank shirt.....

You're not actually allowed to enjoy a Bon Jovi show on this forum these days, or god forbid, a song on any album released recently without being a blind follower and someone who accepts a sub-par performance.

Luckily, I know what I enjoy and quite frankly, that's all that matters - that I have a good time. No amount of set-list over analysis, you tube clips, or discussion after the fact can ever change that.

I don't like Garageland a lot, but the performance is pretty good. The song fits Jon's voice this leg, would be nice if they played it more.

Same as Happy Now, the song sounds great, they need to do it a staple this tour.

It's a Notre Dame logo (where Jesse is going to college and playing football). I saw a news story about it yesterday.

Edit: Found it. http://collegespun.com/big-east/notr...-on-his-guitar

Just watched 'These Days' from this show on YouTube.

Jon's voice isn't that strong. Phil X's solo is great but not perfect...}

...and who cares. The magic is still there. It still made me happy. I can't wait to see them to be honest. My excitement has only been starting since yesterday but I am really looking forward to it now.
