Well, except the fact Jon wrote the song, the song is about Jon's experience. Richie brought the solo to it which is an epic solo, but the song does not belong to Richie. Would it be a different beast without it? sure. Wouldn't every Jovi song, but that's the reality we're faced with.
It's all going to be a bit strange going forward.
