on a purely selfish note....if they did finish the tour in Europe it would be really alot more convenient for me than say going over to America

Plenty of bands have lowered their ticket prices and seem to be doing just fine. Just saw the Foo Fighters last night. Ticket prices were $25 - $45.

What Jon should say is we just want to play wherever we can make the most money.

If Jon would get back to basics and get it through his head that people aren't coming to see his fancy stage, but coming to see him perform, his "profit margins" would increase drastically.
Dan, fuel alone with transporting the equipment is higher, insurance is higher, the cost of HD video equipment, etc, etc. Now, granted, if we want ZERO production and a bare bones stage like Bruce, then sure, ticket prices can go down. And people will say they don't want fancy production (I'm in agreement with you there) but then you see threads that pop up on message boards (like backstage) whining about the lack of production, so which is it.

I do see the points you are making.

Thank you Terri for posting the link to the review.

Nice to see a good review instead of backhanded compliments. I know we die hard fans thought that setlist was pretty boring but for the majority of the people......

Smile I was at the concert last night and it was an A+ performance

The Qwest Center has never been so full. All the seats behind the stage were full and that has never happened. Even U2 couldn't do that. Despite what many on this board feel the set list was perfect. Omaha has gotten Bon Jovi twice in the last 2 years and it was nearly 20 years before that so we will take what we can get. No one sat down the entire show and it was absolutely deafening. Rave reviews from Omaha!

Someone posted some info about the new stage over on Backstage. She said that there were maybe 6 screens that moved around. They could be individual or stacked together. (She also said she thought they would block more for the folks with tickets behind the stage than the first LH stage did.) Evidently the stage also has LCD and it tilts although Jon can still walk on it -- hmmm, I think I have to see this before I get it! There's also some sort of catwalk on the sides of the stage.

Maybe someone who went to the show can give us more info.

Hi all! I'm completely new to this board (wish I had found it before) so I hope you don't mind me jumping in about the Omaha concert last night.

I saw the Nov. 2005 show and I've got to honestly say that this one was a disappointment in comparison. I can't put my finger on it, but the energy coming from Jon just didn't feel the same....it almost seemed forced. The stage setup was nothing special and the catwalks on the sidestage were rarely used by Jon. With David and Richie on the left side of the stage, Jon spent most of his time and attention there. The place was packed with 17,000 fans on their feet singing and screaming, but I keep waiting for that special concert feeling I get to hit me and it never did. It was a good show, I got lots of pictures, touched Jon and Richie as they ran in front of me, but something was just missing. I'm a die-hard concert goer (that explains my name) so I'm hoping others will understand what it felt like.

First, welcome.

Second, I know exactly what you mean. Sadly, most of us not living in a state of denial do as well.
