I agree. I love all the songs from the 80's and 90's! But Bon Jovi has great post-2000 songs and a setlist of a bunch of them wouldn't annoy me (this one would as is the crappiest I've ever seen), and I enjoy it. Also, is as you say, if he doesn't believe on his music who will?

Nice to see everyone bitching about a show they didn't attend (SARCASM)!

Ha ha, yep, Pia. I got the partial shows at Mohegan and even with Jon being primarily stationary I thought the band and Jon were into it. I wasn't bored at all.

It's all well and good saying you want to hear new material but Bon Jovi are famous because of their old hits. No one goes to see them to hear 1/3 of Lost Highway and tit bits from other hitless albums. Jon knows exactly what makes a great set list but he's grown too fond of newer songs that appeal to his life now.

Jon's set lists are strategic. They are built around his voice that's why we see more and more post 2k songs too, including TLFR versions. That's also why Sleep was in the set list all these years. He couldn't pull off an all 80s 90s concert anyway so even if you wanted it, you'll never get it.

His comfort level is that plucking acoustic guitar which I do enjoy. I think that might be life after Bon Jovi

It's more than all well and good. It's logic. Why do you expect them to stop doing what they've always done? They are playing the hits that people go to see them for. They aren't going for any of the songs you imagine they are going for unless those songs are Bad Name, Prayer, Wanted, Bad Medicine, It's My Life, and Who Says.

Don't like where the band is now? Move on to another band instead of pouring your energy into a message board trying to convince everyone on why the band should play songs that are no longer relevant to them vs recent material that reflects who they are now.

Whether you are to blind to recognize it or not... The fact is that the band has always won converts to their new material from every album since the beginning by performing those new songs and convincing their audience.

And I notice that the two people who were at the show and posted said that it was a great show! but lets not listen to them. Lets listen to the ones behind the computer who weren't even there.

The band have lost more fans than they've won over the past decade and if you don't believe that than you are blinkered and ignorant.

Just look at album sales and concerts. In the past few tours European venues have been well under sold.

You can't use the old bully boy line "go to a different forum" just because my thoughts don't go in line with yours. Well you can but it's rather small minded.

Actually, I can because it's not a bully line..... it's grown up logic. Eventually you are going to realize that spending countless hours bitching on a message board rather than spending that time doing something else that you enjoy is stupid and wasteful. That's what kids and people with developmental problems do though.

This is a Bon Jovi fan board. If you are not happy with the band the way it is now but have fond memories of the past.... share those memories elsewhere on the board.
