Have I watched the wrong videos or are we lacking a big screen at these shows? Some of the far away videos it looked like literally nothing was happening as there wasn't a screen to help
I don't know if this means anything but Jon's brother Tony is no longer on the road with him and he was the video director. I didn't think it would mean now there would be no screens but maybe it does. It would be odd if there are not screens at the shows.

No, the screens/video wall will be there but there has been issues from what I understand. They'll be there.

I was surprised by the setlist as well.
On one hand, you have to give them credit for changing the setlist and including the new songs. This is a tour for the new album, and they're not just being lazy and relying on their hits to get them through. So many bands do that, and Bon Jovi, is at least willing to remove some hits, or rotate them on and off the setlist. I complain about other bands that NEVER change their setlist, so I have to give BJ credit for this.

However, you can't expect to play 6 or 7 new songs 5 weeks before the new CD is out. Even Diehards will be dissapointed.
The other problem is that, by including some acoustic numbers, that they really can't play all of their ballads. Obviously, Bon Jovi has more acoustic-based songs and power ballad hits than anyone, and could fill a whole setlist. It's tricky to balance a setlist with a band who is largely known for the big anthems and power ballads.
It's no surprise that the as Have a nice Day, Bounce and These Days were largely ignored (along with the first two albums). Wild is the Wind and In These Arms would have been my highlights, but beyond that, it was strange. 4 songs off Lost Highway?? That's too many. Hopefully they'll do some experimenting and tweaking of their setlist. It would be nice to mix in "Misunderstood" instead of "Saturday Night" or, at least put in a couple deeper tracks each night just to keep it fresh and interesting. And Captain Crash is a snoozefest. I'm not sure why they keep bringing that song back into the setlist. I could do without Keep the Faith, too.

The lady is slightly older than the rest of the people around here. Why she would go to a concert she has clearly no interest in, beats me. However, I'm not surprised and it has nothing to do with the setlist. That's just the nature of American crowds. no offense to anyone but, like Noel Gallagher said, he hated playing arenas in the US cause he could spot people getting off their seats and queueing for a slice of pizza. Or heading towards the toilet. I mean, you don't do such things during a concert you paid a lot of money for, unless you're REALLY hungry or REALLY in need for a piss. Just my 2c.

I have a feeling that she is wasn't there for herself but was there for the young boy sitting next to her. Having said that, that kid doesn't look so excited too, just sitting there.
