Don't use the reason that those fans are not die-hards or they don't care about the setlist and Jon could read the phonebook.
I know exactly who said these things. I saw some of their posts on Twitter and I have also never seen them be critical of the band in a fair light. Everything is good, fantastic, great, best ever, etc.

Was there at yesterday show. Seen BJ don't know how many times?! 25? Well this was a pure disapointement. Worst show i've seen with 200$ price tag. No presence, no energy. Hiding behind the guitar always in the same spot. Voice... Oh voice my god! So many "mistakes" in tonalty, running late in the lyrics trying to hit the note... It was really sad to see. Back vocals are always on to cover the "difficulties". I found that Jon face had change; looks tired and somewehere inflated... don't know how to say it, sorry my english s****.

Was not impress with the Moment factory decor either... minimalist.

That being said, you shouldn't expect too much, that case you'll be disapointed. But Bon Jovi will always be Bon Jovi. Are they getting old instead of older?

Friends of mine were at their second show, they loved every bit of it. Maybe i'm the prob!

ha, good one!

And reviews such as yours are the ones I tend to actually take seriously, and so worry me somewhat. I still haven't bought any tickets for this tour yet...

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

To the person saying WLOL doesnt fit in in the 3rd spot....
I totally agree. I enjoy the song, but not enough for it to be in the set every night.
I thought of something earlier this morning. For this one, if Jon dumped the guitar and casually walked around the circle, jumping here and there, and interacting with the fans during the song....
1. it would be more enjoyable.
2. i'd feel like the circle was actually useful and being used, and not just a reason to jack up prices in the pit
3. it wouldnt require much more energy from Jon and the song isnt that hard to sing, so it would be possible.

it's the little things that they could change that would make the show so much better.

just my opinion!

I have to be fair... It is far away from a complete disaster...
and if i'm just able to do half what they're doing at their age, it will be a miracle! They're fantastic, no matter what.

And well, during the time i'm saying they are getting old, so do I!

I think that a lot of us would do the same. I've been begging for OWN as an opener for years, it seems. Never have gotten it. If the shows do not get better, by the time "my show" rolls around, I'm going to have think about about selling out. Which makes me very sad.

I despise WWWB, if it's played at my show, it will be my cue, for an extended break. I do not understand why Jon is so freaking attached to that song?

Also, I'm in total agreement with the poster that said that it seems that JON is playing the songs that HE likes to play, sigh...

Also, what's up with giving Richie the cold shoulder? Wondering who's idea it is to replace Richie's solos with Bobby's stuff?

I could not be more surprised, so far, than if I came up pregnant!

They don't even "look" like ~ Bon Jovi.

Dayum............

ETA: I LOVE the video that you posted! TY.

Can you tell me, why in the world, Bobby is playing, where Richie should be playing??

It's as if Jon is giving Richie the cold shoulder?

Also, I ~ foolishly ~ expected Richie to be able to play, at least, one song off of his new album, EVERY night, and that is not happening, either ~ sigh...

What is wrong with the band? And, yes, there is definitely something very wrong. And, trust me, it is not "old age". The 50s are the new young 40s, especially with this band, having any and every thing to make that happen, at their disposal.

Just hoping that you may be able to provide some insight, please...

Definitely no cold shoulder. The interaction with Jon and Richie was quite good. I'm one of those that could take or leave Richie playing a song, I don't mind it, but I don't miss it either. And who knows, but I'm guessing the Richie solo song will resurface overseas, but I think Richie himself saw how most of the US audience took his song a their bathroom, food, drink break.
