Wow yeah, that's really a lackluster performance. The song is so boring sung that way..

I thought those songs were done that way so he could sing them live properly for years on but I guess even those have to be lowered.

Andi
U2 put me to sleep last time they came to Brazil (360 tour).

Jon's electric guitar is not needed on this song, much like most of the others. Fancy screens, a great performance do not make. U2 is the perfect example of a band that relies on visuals to make their shows interesting. take all that away, and the band itself isn't all that great....

That's just an opinion, and I think the opposite, but that is irrelevant.

But as far as the facts go, Bono is still a very energetic front man, who always uses the whole stage and the walkways regularly, as does The Edge and even Adam.

I wasn't commenting on whether you think the band are any good, I was referring to their stage presence and interaction with the crowd, despite having their high tech visual show.

I watched a couple of the clips from this and from the 13th. Despite everything else, I somehow got this magic feel and I am really really excited for June and I can't wait for my date. Especially since it'll be in Europe, standing room in golden circle. Bring it on.

looking at the videos, one of the reasons he isnt leaving his mike is the fact he is reading the words off the autocue so often!!

This is a really good point. I've noticed that he is looking down a lot at the lyrics, even for songs he's played for years like In These Arms.

I was thinking about the band's lack of energy recently and tried to compare them to bands of a similar age.

U2, ACDC, Metallilca and even The Stones provide a much more energetic show. So there's no real excuse.

I don't understand why you don't get it? I went to several shows on the last tour in Europe with fans who'd travelled from as far as the US and Canada. A few rare songs in with the hits made the shows.

Bon Jovi know they have many die hard fans who go to multiple shows. They have toured now for 4 out of the last 6 years. Why not dig deep and rehearse something different for all those loyal fans who still go to 3-4 shows per tour? i love this town ending the encore is a joke, they could easily read the frigging banners, or Richies twitter and pull something decent out the bag. This year for the first time since 2001 I'm not travelling overseas to see them and only doing 3 gigs (two of which with mega cheap tickets). No way am I spending £££££ to hear we got it going on and captaisn crash every night!
