Yes, this was the Pittsburgh review. I for one wish BTBMB was dropped like it was for a few tours. I for one wish they would stick to a lot of the new songs from the new record rather than give in to the pressure of bad crowd reaction. If they are not committed to them why should we be. But, I think Jon needs to play either Amen or The Fighter not both back to back.

Jon should start a masonry cuz he was stuck in concrete last night... Will post a detailed review later as still in state college, but lets just say this was the first in 12 shows that I have ever left my seat to go take a piss... This was during the born to follow / working man portion of the show...WTF jon, really? Never seen so many peeps sitting looking bored.

*I* am one of those who don't mind dropping Born to be my baby actually- what amaze me is that having it back and BAM everybody jumps up and down as if we got the most outstanding treat ... what ?? really ?? the best set because BTBMB is back ?? ..I see that often what I THINK doesn't show in the way of what I write ...
I don't want Amen to be the only one song Jon will play of the album night after night, because he wants us to be sure it is a masterpiece - because to me it sucks and to be forced to hear that song is painful ...
Amen and The fighter on the catwalk KILLS the show for quite a while it is incredibly weird that Jon doesn't get it ....
I agree with you Deb that, those 2 songs need to at least rotate ..when you have one please don't play the other ....

how was the show by the way ? I think you hinted you were going yesterday

Oh boy… I was wondering how much time it will take to bring back The More Things Change and Working Man. It had to happen sooner or later. It only needs I Love This Town to make it worst set in a long time. Really bad on paper, for me at least.
Also I don’t think the encore is anything special. Those songs should be rather in the main set. I guess I was spoilt at my shows to get a rarity in the encore almost at each of my shows. And I still think they will not disappoint me in the summer. I feel sorry for American die-hards at the shows so far, although not surprised with the sets, which are very similar to those from previous tours in US. So nothing new actually. Sad but true.

I laughed when I read Work For The Working Man was in the set, was listening to this the other day and thought it's just a matter of time before if rears its head in the sets again. I can take or leave most songs from The Circle, not too fussed with that cd either way.

I did not go to State College or Pittsburgh. State College is nearly a 5 hour drive for me and I didn't think the set list would be anything I couldn't miss. Believe it or not, there is one person, my best friend, who truly LOVES Work For The Working Man...so she was ecstatic to hear it played last night!!

I didn't mention work for the working man Deb- I don't bite the crap around the lyrics but with that one I manage to get carried way by the music only and go with and still enjoy the song ..but it seems that, that special song, annoys the hell out of a majority (I'd rather have WFTWM than Amen ...anytime anyday ....) hey I know your best friend and she posted else where how she loves the song

I think somewhere you made a comment (in this thread) where you sounded like you were going, this is why I asked you how was the show ....

To me that show was a 'good' average show ...it's still solid it's still BON JOVI with all the good it implies but it is average Bon Jovi
BUT the acoustic set without the mandatory Amen is totally praisable
