I was at the show last night and it was amazing. Usually when they come to ATL we get a generic show, nothing special. Last night it wasn't like that. The band had lots of energy, Jon was in a great mood and we all know that sets the tone. Don't let the setlist fool you. It was a great show. We got 3 hours of music and that never happens. The new songs got a good response. No mass exodus for a bathroom/beer break. Jon was loving it. There was a sound problem during I'll Be There For You. It was awful. Jon and Richie stopped playing and Jon asked if someone was shooting at them. LOL It was fixed in seconds and they started playing again. As for Make A Memory starting the encore, it worked. The whole place was dark and then you've got Jon in the spotlight with his guitar. It didn't drag the show down at all. You have to understand that Lost Highway is huge down here. People in the south love their country music so anything from that album works.

On another note, my daughter managed to get us backstage. She met a friend of the band in Key West a couple of weeks ago. He said he knew the band and could hook us up. Turns out he does their ear monitors (Jerry Harvey - google him. Pretty interesting). So we got to go on the stage and take pictures. Takumi showed us all of Richie's guitars and which ones are used for each song. He has a '59 Les Paul that's apparently valued at $425,000. He took pictures of us holding one of the guitars and gave us handfuls of guitar picks. Even Hugh's and Bobby's. He said no one ever wants their picks but gave us some anyway. LOL We saw the teleprompters on the stage and were told Jon gets super pissed if they aren't working. It was really interesting to see all of the audio stuff under the stage. We saw Jon and Richie's changing rooms. Jon has the Frank Sinatra picture hanging in there. I enjoyed it so much and learned some neat little tidbits.

It was an amazing night. The last couple of shows I've been to I actually got a little bored. Last night I didn't want it to end. They were on fire!

I was there too... same thing. It was my first time to hear it live. I couldn't believe everyone wasn't as excited as I was. Then, I saw it in Vegas and I don't remember as many people getting up. Weird.

He was making mistakes all over the place but I'm glad he's trying to change it up a bit. The KTF solos became a bit stale last tour.

After hearing it on their last tour I don't need to hear it anymore... I would replace it with Wild in the Streets, Lay Your Hands on Me, I Believe or One Wild Night.

I'm sure we'd all love those songs...but RYH is far more likely.

Definitely one of their worst songs. Ranks right up there with, Work for the Working Man. But, the song that I pray that he doesn't do at the show, I'm going to next week is, WWWB. Jon seems to love that song, and it irritates the crap out of me.

As far as I am concerned, if he enjoyed his first BJ gig, then it was a solid show.
