Yes thanks deb it was good to have updates since I know someone who was at the show tonight.

Well, I'll be off in banishment now, no setlist checking until my Giants show on the 29th. I want to be surprised.

Default Last nights show.

OK so I was there last night and I'd have to say the show as they were calling it was a bit off. My comment mainly has to do with the fans there. As mentioned before for the amount of money people were shelling out for these seats you would expect a lot of hard core fans or at least people that were going there with the intention of having a good time. However there were so many people sitting (especially on the 1st lower level section of Richie's side) that Jon had to take the time out to tell people to get off their asses since he was working here. Also the time was a little disappointing since 1) people were paying $100-$400 a pop, 2) toward the begining of the show Jon made reference to the fact that we'd be there all night or a long night, and 3) about 30 - 45 minutes into the show he said they were jus getting warmed up. Now overall it was a good show, but I have seen better on this tour. The band intereaction was very fun and friendly. Setlist while a little predictable was a nice change from the 2 shows I've seen on this tour. Also since this was such a small venue, I really would have loved to see some type of popping up from the audience or fan interaction (other than a sparlngly few high 5's here and there oh and someone getting engaged, that was nice). That's my two cents. I would love to see pics if anyone has. I'll post mine when I get them up. Any other out there who were at the show?

Unfortunately with casino shows there is ALWAYS a fairly strict curfew because the casino wants folks to gamble not be tied up watching a show. So, the 2 hour show length is not at all surprising to me. I had heard the floor section was fairly dead and there were probably a lot of "comped" tickets for the high rollers which explains dead sections of the crowd. I did hear though that Jon sounded great and the band was in top form so that's a good thing. Someone told me that Jon sang Richie happy birthday toward the beginning of the show is that true?

Thanks for your review.

I can understand that if the venue was inside with the hotel and casino but it's in a separate outside area.(Maybe I was hoping for a 3 hour show like Vegas) I guess I just figured based on price and Jon's talk that it would have been a bit longer. Maybe they should have started earlier but oh well. The floor was calmer than usual but a lot of the lower level sections were the dead zone. I figured that was the case with the "older" well dressed people in the show. The band did sound great and lots of energy was bouncing around so that was great. And yes Jon did sing a brief small bit of Happy Birthday to Richie but it was more toward the middle to end when he was introducing each person on stage. The crowd loved that and all the Happy Birthday Richie signs were flying about (mine included). I am supposed to be going to Chicago so I am really looking forward to seeing them in an outdoor venue.

Albany, NY 12/12/05. JBJ to me from the stage: "You been a good girl this year?" (Reads my sign) "Jon, It's almost Xmas I've been a very good girl! Play Blood on Blood please!" (cue me on the big screen) JBJ: "How good have you been? Oh My God!" (laughs, more teasing) JBJ: "You want it huh, you want it huh? Blood on Blood just for you, the good girl in the front row? The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

Does anyone know why it says that Great Balls of Fire is a cover of "The Killer's classic" on the Bon Jovi website? Is it a simple mistake or have BJ played any covers of The Killers at any stage?

I'm prepared that the answer to this question will probably just highlight my ignorance!!

"The Killer" is Jerry Lee Lewis's nickname.

Yea, being an outside arena makes them even more likely to have a stricter curfew as again, the casino, sees the longer the show is the longer folks aren't in the hotel gambling. The start time and end time are always dictated by the casino and the casino sets the outrageous ticket price. Had the crowd been like the Vegas crowd, I'm sure the band would have said, "to hell with the curfew keep playing" but it sounds like Jon was having to really WORK to get any response from some of the high rollers down front.

Cool, that you are going to Chicago. I'm going to be at that show too. It will definitely be a totally different atmosphere at Soldier Field for sure!!
