Wow I am so jealous. BOB, Saturday Night, Dry County and KTF in the same encore? With IML and Wanted, that's by far the best encore of the tour.

Jon was in extremely good voice and only a few lyrics were screwed up

Longer reviews will be posted later - my husband and I are taking Thierry and Kev on a New York City tour today. None of us has has much sleep this week. Pictures will also be posted.

When I saw the setlist first thing this morning, I also thought of all of you. You must have been thrilled. It seems it was an awesome show!

Now...is it July 27th yet?. I can't wait to see the last shows now.

I think the moment that Dry County started sums it all up:

Matt and I looked at each other, grabbed hands, started jumping up and down and yelled "OH MY GOD!" People around us who didn't have a clue must've thought we were crazy. Yeah, you can always pick out the die hard fans.

The show started pretty basic, other than the energy. The energy was incredble. Jon was just on fire. He was at his best. It was at the level that wouldn't even be humanly possible for someone to maintain at every show. Both nights were like that. Given the set list at first, I was kind of like, "Why am I here?" but it got better and better as it progressed. It wasn't a perfect show, but it was damn close!

I realize everyone is focused on Dry County, but I have to say that was one of the most passionate performances of Saturday Night I've ever seen. I really hope there's a video of that floating around. I hope you can all see it.

Meeting Kathleen & her hubby, Kev, Thierry, Matt, Amy, and everyone else was great. I admit I'm hesitant to meet people, but I'd welcome any of those guys into my home anytime--great people!

Mmmhmmm. Had it not been for DC, I'd stay Saturday Night was the best performance of both nights.

My thoughts exactly. Even though his energy level was through the roof I was cringing at the setlist earlier on. Right before the encore I had a feeling something special was bout to happen and when I heard david with the beginning notes to Dry County I went nuts (mind you I was by myself for this show) and was like "OMG!!! AM I HEARING WHAT I THINK IM HEARING?!?". Everyone in my section looked at me like I was crazy and they didnt understand how big hearing that song was. It was by far the best encore.
Your right Saturday Night was great but night 2 at MSG saturday night was performed just with a lil bit more energy.
IMO tho Richie stole the show both nights. He was just blazin on the guitar. Those 2 nights proved why he is a guitar god.

I'm still getting caught up on emails and threads, and just went through this one. You guys have summed it all up for me very well. Dry County---I stood there with my mouth wide open looking up at the stage when Dave started playing the intro. I turned around to my friend Tania and just said, "Dry ****ING County!!" We both freaking screamed so loud. Everyone around us was like, WHAT? WHAT is it?? LOL I sang every word so loud, even the right words over Jon's little mess up, LOL. I froze though....should I video it? should I call my friend in Dallas for her to hear it? should I take pictures? I started snapping pics but they were shitty.....as the screen was changing cuz I didn't know what I was doing! LOL So I just put my camera down and just absorbed it all in. I wanted it ingrained in my memory cuz I don't know if I'll ever hear it live again!

Some other highlights for me---I love how Jon came out on the ramp during LMS....he sort of squatted down with the guitar really low, hard to explain, but it really got people pumped up. I was right by the ramp so it was freaking cool. In These Arms......man, being right up there was so awesome.....people were going nuts on my side by the ramp, standing on chairs, reaching so hard for him. It was hard to get pics through the bodies, heads, and hands, but I tried. The encore was just UNBELIEVABLE. It was just one thing right after another! I kept turning to Tania going, OH MY GOD!! Blood on Blood, that is one of my all time fave songs and to hear it (again) in Jersey means so much. KTF--I hadn't heard it at the other shows I went to this tour, so I'm glad I heard it in Philly and Giants. We kept hoping for jungle noises or Sympathy for the Devil, but nope. I loved how Jon picked up the set list, tried to cover the last part of it, and said, "I forgot to do this one RIGHT HERE." And pointed to IML. So cool. Then to end with Sat. Night---I love the HEY HEY HEY HEYs on that song live---in fact it's my fave song on the live album!

Just an amazing setlist, amazing show, and I just really don't know how they can top it on the 29th, but they better!

I really wish we could have spent more time at the tailgate with the Jovitalkers, but it was so darn hot out there, it was ridiculous for us to stay out in a black top parking lot. But it was great to meet Kathleen and her husband Paul, Matt, Becky, Kev, and Thierry. Anytime y'all want to come to Dallas, you are more than welcome!!
