Set list from Backstage PBP:

Richie (acoustic)
Made In America
It's My Life
Fallen From Graceland
Stranger In This Town

Bon Jovi
A Little Help From My Friends
Bad Name
BTBMB
Lost Highway
Whole Lot of Leavin'
Wanted
In These Arms
Bad Medicine (with Shout)
Who Says You Can't Go Home
Prayer

Hmm . . . pretty short. I wonder if that was planned or if it has something to do with the weather which sounds like it is deteriorating. I can't wait to hear what the JoviTalk folks have to say!

ok -

Richie was awesome - sounded great - The songs were terrific first 3 acoustic w/ everett bongoing and the SITT full rocked out with band except jbj

and the night was special because you could tell what it meant to him and Jon gave a speech and i have never seen the two of them connect multiple times on that level before. That was really a nice thing to be able to witness.

To me, Jon seemed subdued until ITA, then he livened up a bit. Sound was really good except for spots where jbj had in the ear monitor issues - kinda funny he was running away from the crew guy in a circle twice and richies mike during the bands set wasnt high in the mix and sometimes i dont htink worked at all and the talk box was out until the second verse of prayer which is a big miss.

It was a charity event and special for what is was. My mom thought it was great, but short

I loved WALHFMF, though it didnt sound as good as i rem from the old days, but that and ita were nice - again it was a very much VIP event so you had to expect a jukebox show

but they were tight per usual

and ps - for all the people that bashed me about them using tapes - while they had jeff kazee and everett as well tonight, when richie was IML acoustic they all sang the parts and it sounded beautiful.

Keep it live.

Richie rocked totally. Bon Jovi were tight per usual.

Great night for a good cause.

ps - our seats were literally right behind Kathleens - SERIOUSLY, WHAT ARE THE ODDS OF THAT!

Thanks for the review! So it was the main 5 plus Jeff, Everett, and I assume Bobby, Kurt and Lorenza? Full house indeed.

Yes - great night for a good cause - just got home - soaked all the way through. It's pouring now rather than snowing LOL.

The show was very enjoyable - Marc's review is is right on. They sounded excellent when there weren't sound problems.

No Kurt, as far as I could tell.
In any case, full review to come.

Yep, no Kurt, from what I understand he is no longer!

I agree with Marc, show was good and yes, from what I understand the 90 minutes was planned (including Richie's set). They did seem to have technical difficulties with Jon's inner ear monitors throughout the night but he didn't let it bother him too much.

Jon seemed very emotional throughout the whole night. In fact, I think it was before they did Wanted, that I heard him say to Richie that he was going to make him cry. Richie also gave Jon a kiss on the cheek. So, yea, good night, crappy weather, but I was happy to be there. Both of my folks died from cancer and I'm all for giving money to find a a cure.

That means double-trouble! That must have been a nice moment when you realized your seats were practically together

Nice set from Richie. I would have loved to have seen that

My review: (It's from my blog, hence why it has information that we all know already)

Quote:
Bon Jovi Review: 2/12/08

Tonight's show at the Hammerstein Balroom was by far the most emotional of the 7 Bon Jovi concerts I've been to. The show (which was a lung cancer benefit) was dedicated to Richie Sambora's father, who fell victim to the disease last year. The set was as follows:

Richie Sambora (acoustic)
Made In America
It's My Life
Fallen From Graceland
Stranger In This Town (electric)

Bon Jovi
A Little Help From My Friends
Bad Name
BTBMB
Lost Highway
Whole Lot of Leavin'
Wanted
In These Arms
Bad Medicine (with Shout)
Who Says You Can't Go Home
Prayer

The night started out great, with a trio of acoustic songs from Richie. That was the highlight of the night for me, as I've never actually heard any of Sambora's solo stuff live. Made In America, and Fallen From Graceland were really good, and Richie's version of IML was a lot better than I ever thought it could be. But the showstealer of his set (and the night for me) was Stranger In This Town. Having never heard it before, I was amazed by the emotional power put into that song. As for the full band set, it started of great. I've always loved Jovi's cover of With A Little Help From My Friends, and while this version wasn't quite as good as stuff I've heard off the KTF Tour, it was still really cool. The rest of the show was really tight. Jon seemed really emotional the whole night, and the rest of he band were on fire. In These Arms was especially a highlight for me, as I'd only heard it once before. The show did end rather abruptly, and it looked to me like an encore was set up, but I'm assuming weather had something to do with it. In any case the show was quite good, and it was amazing to see the band in such a small environment. All in all, I'm really happy I was able to go.
-Other notes:
-After Prayer, it did look to me like they'd come out for at least one more song. I'm basing this on the fact that a new guitar was put into Richie's onstage Go-Position after the band walked off. I could be wrong though.
-Richie sounded, and looked really good.
-Wish I could've net you guys at the diner (Damn LIRR), sounds like it was fun.
