nah its a lot closer to the original, the harmonic progression is drastically different on TLFR, this particular performance is more like a straight acoustic ver. of the original.

The TLFR ver. of its my life is way down in Aminor and has some pretty heavy changes to the chord progression in the chorus such as a change to the relative maj (in this case C major) alongside other changes like the use of a Dmaj, hinting at a modal tonality. I reckon Dave had his hands on this song for TLFR!
The Richie version of It's my life is basically the same as the Crush version albeit down half a step or so. It has the same chord progression as the Crush version and the same melodic line, whereas TLFR has slight differences in melody because of the chord changes etc.

Although both versions do have that slow tempo feel to them i think the Richie version is a traditional 'acoustic' arrangement of the original, by that i mean just slowing it down and not changing much else! Its still amazing though!
Hope that helps
