Glasgow could be their last chance to pull that 'something' out of the bag. Failing that, I thought they'll do a couple of those big guns- because there's no logical reason for them not to seeing as they've done them most nights the past month!
It's a pity because if they are pulling something out for Hyde Park I thought that they might also play it bat Glasgow as a warm up. Shame they didn't. Just adding in 1 rare song would have cushioned the blow of that short set and lame encore.

Personally would have been delighted with just that one. It wasn't to I suppose. I'll just avoid the pbp on Friday as they play 30 songs with at least 5 of my 'bucket-list Bon Jovi" songs...

I'm no troll. I call things how I see them. I can understand how a simpering non entity like you would be intimidated though. Not cute, just sad.

Being easily pleased is not a virtue though. Up your standards then come back and speak to the big boys.

It's not about anyone being easily pleased. The band performed well, they played for 2 hours which is more than most bands, nothing about the show sucked except for the length so in that regard the band did exactly what they were supposed to. It's just they did no more than that.

Encores are exactly that, encores. Bands come back with them when the crowd is good - the crowd simply wasn't busy enough or, certainly in the seating areas, lively enough to warrant one I guess, much as that pissed me off and shocked me.

I saw the Chilli Peppers play just for an hour and a half, oddly again before their big Hyde Park gig. They didn't do any encores either.

I saw the RHCP's a few times as I had friends that worked on their tour and I loved their shows and the ones I saw where the same length, 90 minutes and no encore.

Fantastic shows, just being used to Bon Jovi usually playing longer I found it abrupt.

The Chilli Peppers are pretty high octane from start to finish though. I'd imagine seeing them for more than 1.5-2 hours would be exhausting. Jon stands at the mic for a good portion of the show.
