Hey guys I had to piss off during Sleep When I'm Dead to catch the sleeper and go on holiday so that's me just back.

Totally dialled it in. If I hadn't been there with my bro, missus and a mate having a good laugh, it would have ranked as one of the worst gigs I've ever been to.

Don't get me wrong, they play good (though there wasn't much passion or energy) but after about 3 songs I turned to my buddy who's also seen them a number of times and said: "this is going to be shit"

Which coincidentally was the opinion of many folk we bumped into as we were leaving the stadium who had had enough.

Numbers wise, I'd be absolutely stunned if they had 35k in there. We were up in the stand to the left of the stage with the hospitality tickets (which gladly I get a hefty discount on or I'd have been raging) and if you'd squashed everyone on the pitch in, you'd still have half of it free plus thousands of seats.

It sucks that I'm probably done with the band live now and this will be my enduring memory of them when the last time I saw them at HRC they were on fire.

Oh well the band has finally jumped the shark for me.

Weather excuse is bullshit btw, it was a warm day, even up in the shade of the stand and if it's cold, I'm sure they could afford the odd portable heater for the guys. Jon's saw a quiet crowd and thought, **** this for a game of soldiers. Which is ironic because he should actually be thinking: why is it that we used to sell these things out and now we can't half fill them and the answer is not a lack of Richie Sambora.

I got a freebie to see Kenny Rogers at the Armadillo last night and I'm astounded to report that he managed to dial it in even more than the Jovi.

It's a shame the Hampden show was a bit of a sham really, just glad I went to see them at Slane where it was an entirely different experience.

Makes me question whether I'll bother with a scottish gig again.

Just don't bother with the one before the big London gig. Same happened at Manchester in 2011.

Andi I haven't done a Scottish gig for 2 tours now - did Dublin and Milan instead and enjoyed the gigs better I think!!
