I predict not many changes from last 2 shows. But I hope I am wrong, of course. I don't want to get personal with anyone, but - saying someone isn't a true fan because they slag the setlists? Taht's pretty silly. I mean, I don't understand "fans" when they complain about every little thing they do. But simply being real, and saying when the band aren't being their best - does not make someone less of a fan. I'm pretty much one of the the biggest fan you can get - they're like my freaking religion, lol. But do I like every single thing they do? No. Do I admit/complain if I think they're not giving in their all? Hell yes. But I think it would be laughable, to call me "not a true fan" Some people go way too far, and forget the boys are humans. But some people are just being truthful, and fair. Being optimistic is great, but there is a line. The reality is the last couple sets, have no been as good as they have been, at all. Jason, you predict something great every time - and like I said being optmistic is great! But when it's right there infront of your eyes, don't act blind to it. You can love the band to bits, but still be truthful.

I was discussing something with another member. All I was saying was that the band doesn't naturally need a great setlist in order to have a great show. I am optimistic. But I am also realistic as well. I go with the flow. Setlists are large here, and I knew that when I read around, especially when I first started posting here. I don't want to argue with anyone, I just want peace, that's all.

Like I said, a few people last night said that the performance was great. I didn't mean it the way it was stated if I said it that way, the fact that people aren't true Jovi fans... Blah, blah, blah.. I was just trying to say that setlists aren't everything. Maybe they are to some people, but the performance reflects whatever setlist is being played. Surely there are times where the band, well, every band doesn't perform up to certain people's standards, but what can we really do about it?

Sorry if I made something seem out of proportion.

Regards,

Jason F.

Make it a Bacardi and Coke, or Archers and Lemonade, and you're on my friend.

Yes, but this is a public forum. Therefore, I am entitled to put my 2 cents in too. I don't think anyone is saying, no toher bands don't always play to certain people's standards. Everyone has different opinions on what is good, and what isn't. But when it's right there infront of you, and you have everyone else around you saying the same thing - maybe you need to step into reality somewhat. That's all. I've already told you, I agree the setlists are not everything. But did you watch the Youtube video, from the ..Detroit was it..show?That wasn't a good performace to me. And people that had actually been to the show, were very dissapointed with it. Doesn't that say everything? Yes, there were bugs about, which must have driven them crazy...fair dos. And there was the strict curfew, Richie was sick. etc. but whatever the reasons, it wasn't a good show at all. That is all people were saying. But you're still trying to make out, like it was a fine show. Well, obviously it wasn't.........

Well in all fairness, I was talking about the Boston show last night. And two, Detroit wasn't the show with the bugs. The bugs were at Bayfest. I know that this is a public forum, but my optimism should be my preference, that's all.

Jason F.

In all fairness, what you don't understand, is the major reason why people on this board complain about the setlists the way we do. They have played the same setlists (with a few minor changes to suit the album they are promoting) year after year after year. Many of us have seen them on many different tours and don't want to pay a shit load of money to see and hear them play songs that we have already seen. Been there done that.
