The whole thing was an effing joke, organization wise.
Maybe it was because we got there later (about 1:00pm) - but we had no problems with organization at all. As a matter of fact we spent a lot of conversation talking about how smoothly everything went. And we weren't any further back than the back of the floor at MSG so I was happy with where we were. As I said - I concentrated on position between speaker stacks rather than proximity to the stage but we still had an excellent view.

The people around us were mellow and quiet during the show (mostly - except for singing along) and since no alcohol was sold in Central Park the entire crowd seemed very pleasant. I'm sure there was alcohol around and people drunk on their ass but I didn't encounter any of them.

Surprisingly enough, it was a very enjoyable experience for me, in addition to the concert which isn't what I expected.

I think Jon renewed my faith in him with this performance.

I haven't gotten goosebumps from watching him sing for a long time. This did it. I was so HAPPY to see this.
Richie's second guitar solo also blew my mind.

I hear you - he did several "renew my faith" versions of songs this tour. Good for him - I'm just glad that many of them were recorded so we can enjoy his voice again.

Oh WOW, did that video just bring back memories of CP. Definitely the highlight of the night for me and just gave me goosebumps again. It was such a beautiful night and Jon sounded so wonderful. Can we go back in time a week?
