I would disagree and say isn't having fun what the actual whole point is - a show is a night out, to have fun. A record is for closing your eyes and listening to the depth and soul of a song.

Simple solution to keeping the U.S. "casuals" all the way through the lesser known encores... end the show with Wanted and Prayer. Those should be the final 2 encores and no one's gonna leave before they hear them. End the main set with WSYCGH followed by Faith or something like that.

I'd be interesting to put It's My Life later in the set too.

Yep.
They could do WSYCGH, It's My Life and KTF to end the main set. That's a very solid ending for a US show.
Then come out play Hardest Part Is The Night, Roulette, If I Was Your Mother, Wild Is The Wind, Dry County, Stranger In This Town With Phil on vocals and These Days. Then come back and finish with Wanted and Prayer! Everyone's happy!

I want them to do what Jon is always saying that they do - change the setlist nightly, change the setlist on the fly, play for 3 hours . . . . I want them to be all about the music, but they aren't, and those things are just what Jon SAYS, not what they do. It's no longer enough for me. Clearly I'm in the minority, since so many of my Facebook friends are still ecstatic after their shows.
This.
Honestly, I'm less dissolution end then you are Terri (I may still be going to one of the Jersey she's, haven't decided) but I see absolutely no reason to do more than one show a tour, if any at all.

Geez. I'm not sure if you took that the wrong way, but it's a major annoyance to scroll through a long post multiple times just to get to a simple "thank you".

A very expensive night out...

Bon Jovi has always been the band that you could EXPECT to put on a good show and deliver.

Now, for the most part, they are still putting on good shows, but unfortunately for most of us who have seen them 1,2,3+ times a tour, every tour for the last 6 years, that show hasn't changed much.
