Aaannnyywayy..what is most maddening about this is that Jon feels its ok to cater to casuals at EVERY show in the US except when he feels like mixing things up for HIM.

Bon Jovi as a whole just needs to go away for a while. Right now it seems to be beyond repair.

Even happier I'm not going to their show in Buffalo tonight. I have a prior commitment. I considered trying to worm my way out of it but it just isn't worth it. Saw them in February and knew the set list wouldn't change much. Not that Saratoga isn't a huge change, but my god if that's the set they play tonight there's clearly no reason to go whatsoever. A redundant and/or piss poor set and the absence of Richie has me very content that I won't be there. It's an odd feeling...

The king of suburbian is a whole, but not Bon Jovi, neither is Phil or Bobby.

C'mon guys, do you honestly think if this "special" concert was something Jon had pre-planned, Richie would have made a difference? I think we all know Jon does what Jon wants to do, regardless of who's on the stage with him. Richie didn't stop some of the other bad shows that have been complained about on this board, over the years. IF this was something Jon had already planned as a regular part of the tour, then it would have gone on regardless, but this could have been something he planned after he knew Richie would not be there and that's entirely different. On a different note and maybe it's elsewhere on the board (I'm too lazy to look ) the fanclub site is offering a cellphone/ desktop wallpaper to download, Jon, David and Tico. No Richie anywhere on it. It's actually not a bad wallpaper.

Pssst. Here's a secret for you. Bobby plays like he plays. We may not like it but that's Bobby. Richie actually messes up more than Bobby does. SHOCKING.

I think it would be cool to have the extra musicians on stage with the band for something different, but I think they could find better band songs to play than BTBMB and WWBTF. I wouldn't mind seeing several covers.

Of course it wouldn't have made a difference. And I don't think they would have done this kind of show, had Richie been there.
