There could be a lot less effort put on and comments like that shows that you just read the setlist and judge. From comments on people who actually went to this show, I can see that it was bad. But I got a very average setlist on Toronto night 1 and it was still a killer show. Your just too damn negative and its quite annoying.
Huh? I never said the shows weren't amazing. I was just wondering why the set isn't changing much. Did you read my post at all, or did you just feel like crying like a baby for the sake of it?

From what I've saw/heard this tour, I think they should stop playing 'I'll Be There For You' or give it back to Richie. Jon's voice isn't strong enough to do it justice. And yes, I know for one line he puts effort in, but the rest is the same as usual.

I disagree wholeheartedly, and I've seen the song repeatedly on this tour.

It's just my opinion of course.

I'm just yet to see a performance, I think, possibly since 1996 which has grabbed me where Jon is on vocals. A shame as it's one of my favourite songs.

I understand that it was your opinion, but I have one, too. The song is different when Richie's on lead - more bluesy - and I like his version very much. On the other hand, it's very nice to hear Jon on lead again, and I think it's great that Jon & Richie do the song on the Circle so that they have the fans all around them. In my opinion, Jon's voice hasn't been lacking on the song, and some nights (i.e. Charlotte) he even adds those little extras that make the song soar. They're small changes, but since we know the song so well, they really stand out.

Sometimes I just get tired of the trash talk around here. I had ninth row on the aisle which gave me a dead on view of Jon who at one point smiled at me. The man looked happy to be there and the disconnect present so many weeks ago was non existent. I too would love to hear Hey God, Dammed, Wild Is The Wind and so much more but I have to live in the real world. I believe and I was talking to Terri last night about it as well, Jon does not trust the audiences here enough to play anything rare because of the lack of interest. Its a shame really. The paranoid part of me says its because Jon hates his own meaning the American audiences.

I give the show an B+
I agree with you. I know I'm lame but Always is my favorite song ever, so, yes, one song will make an average show for me really good. I enjoyed myself thoroughly!!

Did anyone by chance review the Mohegan shows set next to this one...that's another reason I had low expectations for the set list...typically, when they return to a market for the second time on a tour, the set ALWAYS goes the greatest hits route.

I think Jons being doing a good job on it this tour, and whilst I do really like Richie's version, there is something missing when he's not doing backing vocals on the song

I agree with this, and that's also how I feel about LYHOM. It isn't just that I prefer Jon on lead for that one. The backing vocals aren't powerful enough without Richie on them. On the other hand, I think Richie's Homebound Train was tremendous.
