Gutted they don't bring this to the UK shows

You know when you just know Jon has seen the banner and considered it for a fleeting moment? That's what happened...but no.

Well what can I say...

A nice hot day in London with good music and a few beers. I enjoyed the show, standard set but there was a lot of energy from Jon and the crowd.

I don't get the fuss for Loves The Only Rule, where I was people went crazy for it. They also went mad for Always, Dry County, These Days and Blood On Blood. I wasn't at the front of the Gc, was somewhere near the back so they weren't even FC members.

Me personally I loved These Days, Prayer and Blood On Blood. Was it my favourite show, no... It was on par with Manchester which I saw earlier, I'd definitely go again.

We rocked that pit and continued the woaaahbs after LTOR for ages. I may moan here, but I take the gig for what it is at the time. Also Jon always gives us good comedy value.

Its the setting, weather, the whole day, company, how much you interact, energy of band and so on , . . That's why its at my top for me. . Am I allowed it as my best sir or should I select anouther . . .

Yeah I get that there's a lot more that goes into that the set on paper. Can I ask what your other shows were?

Not really. I completely understand why people would have enjoyed last night, I'm just very surprised it could have been anyone's favourite Bon Jovi show if they'd seen shows with Richie.

A joke surely!?

It's relative though I suppose, on ones concept of success.

Bon Jovi have been diluting the crush formula for thirteen years. Crush was a good album, but it gets a little thin. Same goes for These Days, the bands peak, or of any album. And it seems the point is always about evolving, changing, but they haven't done that, they're stuck.

Out of the 100,000 there yesterday who would know and want 99 in the shade or Hardest part is the night?

When touring you have to play what the crowd demands.
I hate CC and WSYCGH but I admit the crowds love them.

Yes I'd have liked Hey God or WITW but most of that crowd probably wouldn't.
Most of what they play is rarities to the majority, so why not play more of the diehards rarities? They have plenty of rarer songs that could get a crowd going, making it more interesting for everyone.

Just to clarify - 2 separate incidents.....
1) Phil missing chords on BTBMB due to dropped pick - which he got a mouthful from Jon for
2) Jon knocked over own mic stand - but he laughed about it and carried on.

Me too
Yep totally agree. Shame the set/encore was pretty much the same as 2011 but I really enjoyed it and they sounded great. Dont just pull out the negatives. These days, blood on blood, saturday night, always, dry county are all brilliant songs. Hand works very well in the encore too + I got loves the only rule which I have never heard before. If they had played this ain't a love song at the end I would be over the moon but at the end of the day it was still a show full of energy despite the issues there have been this year.

I thought with no richie my 3 shows would be poor. I was wrong and thoroughly enjoyed all 3. Well done to Phil x.
