In the rock concerts, as you say, you can have a great time wherever you are. I still like to be as near as I can of the stage, I've always been really close to it and I love the fact of having the musicians that near
Going off Jovi topic slightly Yeah, that's the show where she was feeling a bit rough so I hear. She always puts a good show on in Argentina though for obvious reasons...would love to go there for a show one day!

That's the only thing about being so far away at a rock show, I love watching good musicians work (being one myself) and you can't do that at a big show like Hyde. The video screens help a bit but you might as well stay at home with a DVD if that's all you want.

One of the things that does drive me to keep going to Jovi shows, Bruce, Prince, Madge, etc...they don't need to be on stage anymore. If it was for the money they would have all retired years ago when they made their millions. They're on stage because they want to be. If Jovi weren't in Hyde Park and weren't famous they would probably be playing some bar in New Jersey after a tough days work! Same for Madge, she doesn't need to keep touring but she does because she loves it. That attitude shines through with some performers and its a pleasure to share the experience with them.

Didn't read All the posts but the "stink eye" was because Phil was playing the wrong song!!!!!! Jon was pointing out to him on his setlist where he should of been. Start of btbmb Phil started Lost Highway....he even got as far as "Hey, Hey" at the start.

I love it how on something so minor a good number of witnessed facts are flying already. Jon was reportedly yelling at Phil for:
- no reason (you might wonder why, but I wonder why not!)
- his own mic failure (frustrated neurotic bitch much! LOL!)
- Phil dropped his pick and didn't play or ****ed up the intro to "Born To Be My Baby"
- Phil started playing a different song from what he was supposed to be playing (mash-ups are the new black!)

And we wonder how the Richie thing turned out to be the cluster**** that it is... Ha!

We need the official "Jon shouted at Phil" thread so we can start elaborating theories. The Richie one it's boring now.

A great deal of credit for their epic success should also be given to Desmond Child... who knows where they'd be without him. Kind of interesting to think about.

You seriously need to get laid.

I am on a Bruce forum and it's great. Lots of reasonable people who can judge things with level heads. Unlike you and the few sad cretins on here who go around agreeing with each other and praising a band who are a husk of their previous selves. This isn't backstage with JBJ. I'll say what the **** I like and you'll have to like it without acting like a little girl.

Villa Park had a bland setlist by all accounts but some might say it was one of the best shows in the UK this tour. Either way Villa Park was a very decent performance and the setlist was bang average - which brings me onto the other point I agree with:

Raraties. You cannot fill an entire setlist with raraties because the percentage of die hards that attend these shows is very low. I would say about 10%. This was proven in the early stages of The Circle tour when they were playing songs like Only Lonely in the early stages of the set. To the die hard this was a wet dream, but for the other 90% its like "what the ****...". Compiling a good setlist is very difficult. You have to find that fine line between die hard and casual because you will not please everyone. With the absence of Richie of course you're going to get a standard main bulk set, because (as great as Phil X has been) Richie just has a lot more in the locker.

Great review and i'm glad that someone can talk a bit of sense around here.
I don't recall anyone saying they should play all rarities? Jon told us all proudly that he had 12 albums, yet he's completely ignored 3 of them. No casual would care if they swapped BTBMB/who says/CC for something we haven't heard this tour.
