I want to see the band at least one more time on the West Coast but would prefer to have Richie back on board.

On an off topic note: PhilX has pulled ahead of Matt in followers on twitter.
Phil has been tweeting things with an almost childlike sense of wonder, it's pretty hard to not like and enjoy his enthusiasm while touring overseas, he had a blast it seems and he shared letting it show. It was fun to follow and see.

Well... I certainly wish I did. Sadly I didn't, at all.

Phil you better relax before making tweets like that. Remember that in 30 years of that kind of abuse you might look like this:

Seriously, he makes more mistakes than anyone in the band. Yeah, he is 'the boss' but if he makes mistakes, he can't go mad on someone if they do one. Have a word maybe, yeah, but to do that is ridiculous. No need in it at all.

I did do a little review on Saturday morning but I don't think it sent for some reason.

I had an absolute nightmare with tickets. A friend won 2 tickets on Tuesday and asked me if I wanted the other one so I of course said yes. We arranged to meet outside Hyde Park at 2 so I got the earliest coach from Liverpool. I ended up getting into London after half 1. By then he had already collected tickets and got himself an upgrade to GC for £40. I said to him I was running late but shouldn't be too long as I needed to meet up with friends and then go to the hotel and put my bag in and then I would get a taxi. I did that, I met up with Kev & Ollie (Carli was buying more alcohol ) and got the key for the hotel. Got to the hotel, and the pass didn't work!! The hotel had only gone and de-activated it. So by then, it was already after 2. I had to go back to meet them 3 and tell them what happened. I ended up getting a text from my friend who said he is in GC and will come out with my ticket. Thankfully, they told me to leave my bag with them and before they leave to the venue, they will put it in the hotel which was very kind of them.

I got a taxi to Hyde Park and got a text saying 'I have left it with a security guard who has put it in the box office.' I didn't like the sound of that because I had no I.D and I had no idea what box office. He gave me another number to ring him off but signal was that bad that it didn't ring and his normal number was off. Great. So I went to EVERY single box office I could find, EVERY one. Spent most of the day walking around Hyde Park looking for box offices. Not a single one had it. Nothing had been handed in, nothing. I was so angry. With him more than anything but also with myself because of how long I had taken to get there.

I thought I would of had to have listened to the show from outside. In the end, I got a ticket from a tout for standing for £40. Not too bad, but still.

First time I had been to Hyde Park and it's a decent place. I thought the stage was pretty cool and it was a really nice day. I got in about 5.30 and walked right by the front of the GA which wasn't bad at all. I missed every other act except Kaiser Chiefs (And Bon Jovi, obviously.) I thought Kaiser Chiefs were excellent and would definitely go and see them again. When that lead singer ate that womans ice cream, I really laughed out loud at that.

Anyway, it was showtime. I had a feeling 'That's What The Water Made Me' wouldn't open and that 'Rocking All Over The World' would, and I was right. I was glad to hear something different as the opened. I love TWTWMM but I did enjoy something different. Great opener and I genuinely thought that we was in for a great show setlist wise. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case.

The sound for the first few songs was AWFUL. It looked like it was Jons microphone more than anything but I have heard so many bad things about the sound in Hyde Park that I thought it was going to be like that all of the way through. After 'Raise Your Hands' it was much better.

The performance from the band was brilliant. Jon looked like he was loving it up there and it was a relaxed Jon. Apart from that moment on Born To Be My Baby. Tico is just incredible. The man never misses a beat and still shows so much passion when he is playing. The speed he hits them drums sometimes is mad.

When 'Dry County' started, I shook my head. I felt so lucky to hear it in 2006 and also in 2008. When I got it in 2011 I was a bit like 'Okay, fair enough.' but to get it 2 more times this year is so annoying now. It takes up 2 songs! In that time, 'This Ain't A Love Song' & 'Undivided' could of been played. It's the fifth time I have heard it in 7 shows now. I could really live without hearing it again, now. The only song so far which I hadn't heard live that got played was 'Loves The Only Rule' which I was absolutely buzzing about. It is one of my favorite songs and I was so glad to hear it. Really enjoyed it too, great live song and I do think it should be played more. When the 2nd encore was about to start, I already seen Jon say 'Always & These Days' but I didn't see the third song he said and was praying they would finish with Love Song. Although I am bored of Dry County, I will never get bored of 'Always.' I am contradicting myself, I know, but it is my favorite song and I will 'Always' welcome it. These Days I hadn't heard up until Manchester this tour and now I have heard it at every show since. Again, always welcome. It gets the crowd going much more than 'Dry County.' Once I seen Jon finish singing that, I seen the acoustic guitar so I knew that 'This Ain't A Love Song' wasn't next. I immediately thought it was going to be 'I Love This Town' but thankfully, it wasn't. I enjoyed the version of 'Blood on Blood' but I still left feeling like I did when I went to Slane. Yeah, it was a great show and yeah I will always enjoy the show if Jon is into it, but to say Manchester was the best show when I went to a Dublin and London show baffles me.

Ah well, I don't regret any and I had a great time with friends. If I went home straight after them gigs or didn't meet up with them, I wouldn'tof had half as much fun.

I can't thank Kev, Carli & Ollie out for helping me out regarding a hotel. I probably wouldn't of gone if it wasn't for you guys helping me out. I know I shouldn't leave stuff until last minute but it would of been pointless if I booked stuff without a ticket, I was just lucky to get the
chance to have a 'free' one that wasnt free in the end. But yeah, I really do thank you guys for that. Much appreciacted.

Was really nice to meet Paul (Captain Walrus) and his girlfriend. Really friendly people and would love to meet you both again. Hope everything goes well with the wedding.
Cheers man, great to meet you too, even if it was pretty brief! Had no idea you had such a nightmare with the gig, at least you managed to see it in the end

Well, if there was ever one European tour to miss out on, it was probably this one... I'll see you next time around!

They do need to move it away from the encore imo
