Why Bobby haven't reprimands like everyone else?

I've seen Richie screw up pretty often over the last years on stage. I saw him drunkenly slur through I'll be there for you in Montreal in 2006 and heard him say the words "Words can't say what love me do" but sure, keep that halo fastened tight around him. He does no wrong.

I have seen so many shows, and since about 2006 Richie has been toasted at a lot of them. He never could remember the words to LYHOM when he sang that, and that was last tour.

I remember a time he started Born to Be My Baby and the setlist said Die For You. Jon was pretty pissed about that one (as he was about Phil starting the wrong song). At least read the freakin' setlist.

And yes, to be fair (and balanced) I have seen Jon screw up words and miss cues too. It seems to happen to both of them but I don't think I have ever even thought that Jon was drunk or stoned onstage.

Richie has more errors because he played a lot more concerts, he is sometimes neglected, but still genuine. Richie is a Bon Jovi, Phil is a substitute, no matter what, I want to Richie, flaws and virtues, I don't need a replacement who smiles all the time like an idiot and plays guitar with no passion. The new Guns N Roses, that's what they are. Brotherhood? the CEO finished this.

Jon fail voices have been more constant than any failure Richie, drunk or not this. Jon has spoiled many tours because his voice was crap. Replacement for him? and Bobby is the last straw.

Nonsense. If you'd actually have seen as many shows as several others, including myself, you'd realize by now that Jon has covered for Richie very often. Ever since the HAND tour Richie has been very hit and miss and very much on autopilot. Before the HAND tour Richie never, ever made a mistake apart from the bum note. Nowadays you just know he's bound to mess up somewhere with every show. Casuals won't pick up on this, but it's no secret among guitarists that the man is a shadow of himself nowadays. He used to shine on every song, nowadays it's the odd guitar solo here and there and that's it.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Jon is Also a shadow of what it was. But we accept it With its flaws, there is no show In Which Jon does not screw with voice.

That's life, Richie does not so bad, I see great shows, Hyde Park 2011, Cleveland 2013, MSG 2008, he is still a good player, is not finished. He brings many more things than Phil.

Each day I understand less the fans, now all these new fans are hysterical with Phil X as if it were the new rock star. This sucks, people forget easily.

Richie came out with a policeman's hat on at MK night 2, clearly trashed.

Jon makes the occasional mistake and makes a joke of it. Would have been nice to banter with Phil about that mistake and just start the song again with a smile. JBJ would have come out much better for it. ESP as Phil hasn't put a foot wrong all tour.

No I don't, and judging from the Isle of Wight webcast, neither does the majority of Jovitalk as pretty much everyone agreed Jon sounded like ass that night. The difference is that some Richie fans on here like yourself have Richie coloured glasses on and tend to forgive him because Jon does so as well, while Richie's on autopilot just as much as Jon is these days.

Besides, the vocal chords are a muscle you don't have as much control over compared to starting a guitar solo in completely the wrong fret, like Richie has done several times by now, even up to the point that he didn't even notice this himself. He's been trashed several times up to the point that I doubt he's got any recollection of any of the shows. It's hard to keep up a brotherhood when you're drunk most of the time.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Metallica for example, has a lot of faults guitars, vocals, drums, etc ... But still doing big shows. I don't want a replacement for Lars or Kirk Hammett at this point.

Foo Fighters, they also make mistakes, are live bands damn. you can not forget a guitarist as Richie Sambora because I'm angry with him and is or has been alcoholic.

Elvis, Kurt Cobain, Steven Tyler, Joey Perry, Slash, Axl Roses, Jim Morrison, Hendrix, Keith Richards, Janis Joplin, Johnny Cash, .....

I am not referring to the cliches of rock n roll. Just say you can not deny your idol because he had problems with alcohol and it is not 10 years younger as before.

There's no point in discussing things with you. You are so incredibly biased in regards to your point of view on Richie Sambora that no matter what example or argument anyone will bring on the table, you'll always slam it by saying Richie Sambora should be there for whatever reason you see fit. You are what Backstage is to Jon Bon Jovi.

Sebastiaan
