I think most people would go home happy with that, casuals and die hards.

Plus there's a lot of songs that would please casuals and die hards alike. Songs like One Wild Night, Misunderstood, Say It Isn't So, This Aint A Love Song, Thank You For Loving Me or Welcome To Wherever You Are are all rare enough to be a treat for diehards, plus they were all singles with videos, on rotation on MTV and VH1 over the years so wouldn't be alien to the casual fan, so he can kill 2 birds with 1 stone if he was that concerned.
Its why all the talk and comparison with Bruce is so annoying- no one says he should just play the hits to pander to the casuals, he does his thing and the crowd can take it or leave it, he gets praised to the heavens for it. Sadly with Jovi, the crowd want the hits and not the 4 hour rarity fest, hence why they habitat the middle ground between static sets and Bruce-like changes.
