I want to say that I was there and I had a great time!!! I am a die hard fan but can't afford to go to many concerts. I thought Jon & Ritchie sounded fine and the concert was great. I do feel bad for them having to put up with all the bugs and I was a little disappointed when it ended so early but as a PP said, the experience is what you make if it!

A couple of days later, but I'll add my 2 cents...

I have been to 20+ Bon Jovi shows. This was the worst I have ever seen. I'll agree that it started off fantastic...Jon was "chatty" (usually a good sign) and then something changed at some point. We've used the term for the vanilla sets that are phoned in...well, Jon couldn't even be bothered to make the call. I have left 2 other shows somewhat disappointed but know that everyone has an off night. I left this show bitter and pissed off!

I paid $80 for that ticket! If I had paid the $200 for the licensed VIP ticket, I'd be on my way to Jersey and demanding my money back from Jon!! yeah, every band has off nights, but have some respect for the fans who spend their hard earned money to go see them.

And yes, casual fans around us were commenting on the short set. If you're going to consistently go on record saying "We're a great live band!", you'd better deliver the goods!

My biggest regret is that this was my last show of the tour. I was really excited for this one as who knows when the next tour will be.

Rant over!

That's exactly how I feel.

After being at the Toronto shows this year and then seeing this one...it wasnt the same.

It wasn't only them who seemed off....it was the crowd as well. Granted, it is hard to know how into it the crowd is up front when I was at the very back but I know the people on the hill with me didnt seem as into it as I was....I think I was the loudest person on the licensed hill.
I was pretty close to the front in the Unlicensed VIP area, and I felt like my best friend and I were the only ones cheering, dancing, and singing along in my vicinity. Most of the people around me were stiff...which was quite surprising considering it was an outdoor general admission show. In all the times that I've seen this band, I've never seen Jon try so hard to rile up a crowd. It was sad.

I'm thinking the Bayfest organizers must have paid the band a lot of money for that show, because I'm surprised they just didn't return to Toronto [especially after Jon said "See you real soon" at the end of one of the shows back in March]. They could have broken their record at the ACC...and it would have been a magnificent show...GUARANTEED!

Oh well...seeing Bon Jovi in Sarnia was definitely an experience...that's for sure haha!

Here's hoping they tour again in another couple of years

Myself and the few people I was with were basically the only ones on the licensed area at the back on the hill cheering and singing and dancing. I said a few times " come on people sing!!" and I got a bunch of " look at this crazy girl" looks lol.

Ah well....I'll be crossing my fingers for another album and tour!!
