Jon @BonJovi ..thank you for honoring our beloved and much missed Rosie tonight.. #respect

Don't know Rosie or her story but I was at the O2 the night she got to kiss David. So funny x

Yeah, Rosie was one of my old friends from Backstage chat. A few of our good friends took banners to the show and it seems people took notice - they had a picture taken from David Bergman too. It was an emotional night for them. Wish I could have been there.

Phil's solos during KTF are missing something. Seems very scatter shot.

[QUOTE=gareththyer1990;1138379]

Was talking with security outside and apparently it started early and ended quite early because there was an issue with some trains not running, and its quite a walk back to the train stations. So they wanted people to have enough time getting back.

[QUOTE]

That would make some sense. I know the last available train for me to get home would have been 10.26 if I was using public transport

Quick review. I'd give it 6/10. Only due to I'm With You, NSG and the acoustic Prayer intro. Without those i'd say 4/10.

- It was a short gig, way too focused on post 00's material. Set list didn't really work at times, the crowd got going with a classic and Jon stopped it dead by playing one not enough people knew.

- I was impressed with Jon's voice and presence (had been expecting the worst). Tico, Dave and Hughy were on song as per usual.

- NSG was a great surprise and the crowd were in full voice for that number.

- Only major gripe was Phil X, whilst he's got chops, he's not a member of the band. I want to here the solo's played as they were written, in the same tone as they are usually played. He's at best a session musician that should try and play the solo's note for note - he didn't and for me ruined some of my favorite solo's by doing some knock off versions.

All in it was fine - 3 Lost Highways (when is he going to stop throwing that album down peoples throats) and a Who Says nearly ruined the gig but NSG and Blaze just about made up for it. I'd be tempted by a last minute Hyde Park ticket purely because I think the set list will be good and Jon proved himself enough vocally last night.

Having just watched the acoustic medley I really wonder what would make Jon realise it's those kind of moments a crowd wants. 2 rare songs played on nothing but an acoustic guitar leave a bigger impression on the entire stadium than pretty much 1/3 of the entire main set. He's been in this business for 30 years yet he's as clueless as ever when it comes to writing setlists and catering towards his own audience.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Spot on there. And it wasnt as if Blaze/NSG are unknown songs that hardly anyone can singalong too, most of the crowd were singing those two far louder than Lost Highway, Memory, Crash, Follow!

There's the usual forum shit...one leg of tour everyone wants Jon to stop using his guitar. Next he is invited to use it more
