Question

I wanted to do this show because I thought it was going to be epic.

Show at Slane Castle VS Show performed by non-whole band at the NMS in NJ performed by the whole band,
Which one do you think more worth to see?

Your phrasing is a bit off, dear. According to you there's currently a non-whole band show performed by the whole band in NJ.

But I'd say the show at Slane Castle. The atmosphere in Europe, and especially at special venues like Slane, will make up for the lack of Sambora and will cause for a better show than the rather standard shows in New Jersey with absolutely piss-poor crowds.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Yeah...that's true... But I read Matt tweeted that he felt Richie might come back at some point this summer.
I know Jon is an Irish freak and the band are big fans of U2. Besides the venue is Slane Castle, I bet Jon will definitely put extra efforts on the show.
But,..... what if Richie will come back and stand on the stage at the NJ show on 27 July?
I guess the whole atmosphere will be very emotional......then, I will regret not being there....But I'm not rich have a financial limit.....So, I'm torn between the shows.

Bon Jovi could play their most emotional show in New Jersey but it'd fly right over the people's head there. As soon as the band stops singing a hit, attention is gone, no matter what is played. There's no such thing as "atmosphere" at American shows.

But then again, I don't fall for the "Whoohooo Richie is back OMG look at the bond they have, the brotherhood is complete" bullshit propaganda. If you tear up at moments Jon gives Richie a hug and starts the "welcome back" speech, then yeah, you'll most likely enjoy the show in New Jersey.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Thanks! I forgot that it's difficult to make US crowd keep paying their attention to the show being performed right in front of them for only a couple of hours.
I should choose a show to attend based on the location where the band is most likely to put extra efforts "for their pure joy". Then, not NJ this time. I still remember the Central Park show. They wanted to do the show and did a perfect show.

Amy being an American and seeing both US, Canada and Europe shows, I'd pick Slane any day of the week, full band or not!!

Only you can decide in the end but if it was me, go to Slane. That's going to be a hell of a show, they did a press conference about it. If I had to pick, it would be Slane.

Who is actually traveling between Dublin & Slane?
I fly into dublin on saturday 15/6/2013 early morning, but I am still looking for a cool way to go from Dublin to Slane (and back)

There are bus tickets, but taking a bus that is specificly scheduled to bring you from Dublin to the show sounds a bit boring to me (and expensive).
I'd figure lots of people are doing the same road between Dublin & Slane? Any possibilities to do some car pooling and split costs? (Seems a lot more fun to do)

Cheers,
Kevin

So, whose actually still going and whose wimped out because of the Richie thing? We should meet, get pissed, and hope they put on a hell of a show.
Since I already booked a holiday around this show I'll be there and I'll bring my 'best clueless American Bon Jovi fan' attitude. Might try to take in Trim Castle or the Tullamore distillery before the show though because I can get pissed in an American field any day of the week. Any locals here can feel free to through out some ideas on attractions to visit.
