I've seen you reply several times now. Weren't you supposed to be at this show?

Bon Jovi only plays Slane and Isle of Wight because other respectable acts have done so. Would McCartney, The Stones and the likes not have played there I doubt Jon actually be willing to go there at all.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Plenty of songs Phil has played so far that they could switch into the main set. I'd Die For You, Hey God, Last Man Standing, These Days, Happy Now, Army Of One, What's Left Of Me, I'm With You. Just off the top of my head.

Plus any of the songs he played on the last stint as well, there would be plenty without even learning anything else.

Well he's done the recent setlists 2-3 months before the show...

If he really has had an itch with certain songs, he would ask Phil to learn them. He had to learn every other song he's played, it's not like he came with some stock knowledge of certain songs.

I'd say a first ever appearance at a major UK mainstream festival is more historic.
They're not my words, that's why I put it in quotation marks. But it's generally seen as being historic because it's a huge event and a privileged place to play. You can't just book Slane, you have to be invited. The Isle Of Wight is headlined by any old band.

A band gets "picked" to play at Slane and it's a once in a lifetime gig. You don't do Slane twice.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
I was planning to go but the whole Richie thing and mediocre setlists put me off. So far I'm not too regretful....
