Some people really take the setlist thing for granted.

It's a pretty damn good setlist, I believe. That encore is stunning.
Far from being ridiculous- have you actually seen the setlists from previous nights!? We're not talking about the encore. We're talking the main set. They rotate 3 songs from a set of 18. Runaway was replaced by I'd Die For You. Once. The two ballads after Faith get rotated. The rest have been the same night after night, in the same running order.

So I'll repeat. The sets have never been as rigid, static, or unvaried as they have been on this tour.

I'm not so unrealistic to expect more "rock" as others have said tonight, and I'm not so unrealistic to expect 20 different songs each night. But for christ's sake, I should surely be able to expect a bit more variety, even if its just a change in the running order?

Will write a review sometime. Still on bus on way home knackered!! All i can say is that Bonjovi is still top of its game. At least 65k there, none if the 25-40k figures predicted. Some seats were empty but you don't sit at Slane. Band on fire . Jon loved it, tico was loud and immense and kept throwing stuff at David, David was having loads of fun with crowd and Phil X......that guy can play and although there were a few moments when I missed Richie, I didn't for most of the show!!! Lights out Sambora, the band can still sell out stadiums without you after all!! Phil deserved more cheers, he is loving it up there and doing everyone a big favour!! The fans were fantastic, set predictable to be fair but blasted out, 3hrs 6mins on my watch and fireworks at the end topped it off!! Brilliant!!

Glad you had such a great time I love to hear reports on Tico and Dave having a great time.

As far as the band selling out stadiums without Richie - did these tickets go on sale before he was missing? They seem to be giving loads of them away and they are not selling anywhere near the tickets in Australia that they usually do and alot are waiting to see if he comes back.

Just in from Slane, had an amazing day! The weather was great in the end, just a couple of light showers and no mud after all! The place felt pretty packed to me - a sea of people up on the hill. There's something about the atmosphere at Slane - it kinda feels epic or something, I dunno, I've been to every Jovi gig in Ireland since '96 but this felt special - a real once in a lifetime thing.

The set started off great, really lively to get everyone going. There was a definite lull in the middle alright but the encore (can you really call 10 songs an encore?!) was amazing, with These Days being the highlight for me. Dry County was fantastic of course, I thought Phil X did a great job on the solo (and in general for the night - he certainly has a great stage presence) and Saturday night was great too as was Always to finish.

What other band would play a solid 3 hour, 10 min set? Sure there are some duds in the set but it is what you make of it too. Me? I made the most of it and sang and danced my heart out for 3 hours in the gc with my daughter! An amazing evening, in epic surrounds with Bon Jovi. I just wish Richie had been there to share it too..

Well to be fair, isn't every band asked to play usually on tour? Have bands not been on tour and just play Slane that year and nothing else? I would think that the bands who play Slane every year are on tour that certain year?
