question is, will it sell out and where can you find out how sales are going?

If Bruce is coming too, some people may hold off!

Also strange that support acts are not decided on, usually they are agreed prior to tickets going on sale.

They may have been decided but just not revealed yet?

Irish people what is the best way to go from Dublin to Slane Castle? Should we rent a car? Plane would arrive around 5 pm on the same day to Dublin. Another plan is to come few days earlier.

Once you get to Dublin airport you can take a bus straight into the city center (20/30 mins). Once in the city center Dublin Bus will be operating a full day of buses to and from Slane. That is without a doubt the best way to get down. I wouldn't rent a car for this. It's not the easiest place to find; then you have to park a long way away; and forget about getting out after the gig, you will be waiting for hours.

Arriving at 5pm on the day of the gig might be pushing it a bit close though. All things considered you would be doing well to get to Slane by 7.30pm.

Yeah, I would definitely not arrive on the same day. Arriving before 8pm would be a bit of a push with traffics and crowds, and the band will be on between then and 8.15, and you'll be right at the back unless you book GC etc.
Come to Dublin a day earlier and explore a bit!

I would love to go but the tickets are just too pricey.

The only way I'd pay that price is if Nickelback were the support act again.
