Damn straight! Who needs improvisation and creativity when you can something note for note? Yeah! Beer and titties!

Yeah I do love the 6 extra guitar solos and flute solo that Bon Jovi does during "It's My Life".

I don't mind Nickelback, probably my favourite of the supports even though they are the height of uncool, its hardly like the Jovi are any different.

What I would agree with is that Jovi really need to sort their shit out and get decent support acts on the bill. A decent arena sized band as main support, and a smaller band as 2nd support. If you are going to charge stupid money then you need to at least give back some value, and unless Jovi guarantee a 3 hour show for each gig then a 1 band show does not justify £100-£150 face value no matter how good they are. Plus you get more casuals through the door if you have a few other bands they wouldn't mind seeing but would baulk at the thought of shelling out just for Jovi.

Have been saying this for a while myself.

Bands like U2, RHCP, Foo Fighters, The Stones put on an impressive supporting line up. It's makes the show much more of an event and makes the cost seem slightly justified.

We got Vintage Trouble last time around. They were okay but I bet they added less than 0.0001% to the sales.

I've heard rumours of The Gaslight Anthem & The Little Angels will be the main supports around Europe.......(I really hope this turns out to be true).....

Some of the U2 support line ups have been ridiculously good, it's like a who's who in the music industry... they've had Muse, RHCP, Snow Patrol, Kings of Leon, Arcade fire etc etc all tour with them. So yeah, Vintage Trouble was a bit of an anticlimax last tour, although I enjoyed them a lot.

I'm still predicting The Script to open a few shows for them, they're a very popular arena pop /rock band, selling more in the UK than Bon Jovi are.. so Jon will probably want to cash in on this younger market. They're on the same bill already at the IOW festival. Makes sense... and the days of getting Van Halen on the bill are long over

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

I was thinking The Script might support at Slane seeing as they're playing with Jovi the next day, but are they too big to support another band in Ireland?
