Jon didn't know about him. He had a sign in the audience asking to sing Wanted, Jon got Matt to get him and they brought him on stage. No one from the band had heard of him.

In all honesty, that doesn't affect my enjoyment of the video at all. Whether him performing was Pre-planned or not, the kid seemed to have a ball, and the band looked to enjoy it a lot, even Jon. A little bit of fun that's been gone for most of this tour.

Completely staged....... They will have known the kid was there (I'm sure he probably sent messages to Matt etc on FB/Twitter).
It's cool, but not as cool as if had been some genuine random member of the public.

He was holding up this sign at the concert. It wasn't staged. It's a cool moment, everyone was loving it. The kid was giving the mic to Jon at the end, he was owning that stage.
