http://radioplayer.forthone.com radio station are reporting live from Murrayfield from 3pm ...with the announcement for those with tickets at 4pm... think I heard the last bit right.. .which I would take to mean that someone who has won the tickets today will get a backstage pass ? We will have to wait and see

They are still giving away tickets. I wish they would play some of the gig .. but I think Im wishing a bit to much..........

Looking forward to seeing the setlist length and how they perform tonight, should give an indicator for Friday.

Enjoy the gig those that are going.

The elements are no match for Bon Jovi fans as they queue to see the New Jersey boys kick off the UK leg of their 2011 world tour at Murrayfield Stadium.

Braving the wind and rain, some die-hards have been waiting since yesterday to catch the rockers’ only Scottish gig. Although the stage has already been erected, the fans lining Murrayfield’s gates face hours of waiting until the concert doors open at 4:30pm.

Huddled under a plastic sheet, Alicia, from Burgos, Spain, and Luis, from Cantabrina, Spain, have been waiting since 8am. When asked why they made the trip from Spain, Alicia replied: “Because it’s Bon Jovi. We really want to see him.

“We really hope that they play ‘Runaway’ and ‘In These Arms’.”

Chris, from Hiledsheim, Germany, travelled from Copenhagen after attending a Bon Jovi concent in Denmark. She said: “We really like the music. We have been waiting here since yesterday to get a good spot.”

She is travelling with Jennifer Werner, 31 from Wolfsburg, Germany. They are involved in Benefit and Joy, a fan-based initiative that takes inspiration from the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation. They co-operate with Habit for Humanity, a charitable organisation that works with volunteers to build homes for those in need.

Jennifer said: “Benefit and Joy helps build houses for poor people. The organisation is made up of Jon Bon Jovi fans that wanted to do more.

“Jon Bon Jovi recently gave $10,000 to Benefit and Joy through the ‘Circle of Change’ award. We built a house in Romania.

“We will be promoting our organisation when he plays 'Who Says You Can't Come Home?' We will be releasing balloons during the concert tonight.”

Looking composed and well turned out despite the pouring rain, Lyn Brown, 50, was buzzing about chatting to friends and other fans. Originally from Penzance, Cornwall, this is her 22nd Bon Jovi concert.

She said; “I fell in love with them 20 years ago. It’s my passion.

“I just saw him at Helsinki – in the rain. I’ll be seeing him tonight – in the rain. After Edinburgh, I’ll be going to Manchester, London, Bristol, then to Dublin and Barcelona.

“I would love it if he sang ‘This Ain’t A Love Song’ but I don’t think he will. He might save it for Barcelona so he can sing the chorus in Spanish. If he did, that would be my collapse moment.”
