Muse vs Nickelback? I'd rather see no BJ support.

Lets face it, Bon Jovi have never had super awesome bands lining up to open for them anyway.

Maybe it means they'll play for 3-4hrs?...

... or maybe not.

Its a shame really, I have some very good memories of support acts over the years, I got into bands I would never have listed to. If they play for longer then thats fine, but I doubt it.

Muse if fantastic. Billy Idol is another one that supported them.

However, I would rather no support act than a boring one. I consider you guys lucky.

Muse would kick the absolute shit out of Bon Jovi onstage if given half the chance.

Nickelback not so much, which might explain why they've been used as support.

Bon Jovi's support has never been great but going through the times I've seen them the support acts have got gradually worse to the point we have a band who (no offence to them) will schlep it out in one of the worst venues in Glasgow just for a gig....?

No thank you.

I know Muse is awesome. Was that not clear? Someone said they opened for U2 while Nickelback opened for BJ. In this case I'd rather not have an opener.

Surely the lack of support suggests a longer set from BJ.
For a lot of the outdoor venues there is a curfew of 10.30.
Sure, Jon tends to break it by 10 mins, but you still feel short changed because they only came on at 8 or 8.30.

With less support, it means they can be coming on stage around 7.30 and play through to 10.30 and not get into any trouble.

That's my take on it anyway.......

As for decent support - Matchbox 20 at MK Bowl in 2001 were pretty spectacular (incidentally that was exactly 10 years ago yesterday!).

10 years ago yesterday since my first BJ concert? I can't believe that!

I remember Jon putting Richie on the spot during this solo and him fluffing it. Haha!
