Default Official June 27th, 2011 Ashton Gate, Bristol thread

Nearly three years excatly since the last (and first!) time the band played here. Back then the setlist was;

June 25th, 2008

BORN TO BE MY BABY
BAD NAME
SUMMERTIME
RAISE YOUR HANDS
RUNAWAY
SLEEP
BLAZE OF GLORY w/ Knockin' On Heaven's Door intro
CAPT. CRASH
WHOLE LOT OF LEAVIN'
LIE TO ME
IN THESE ARMS
WE GOT IT GOIN' ON
IT'S MY LIFE
KEEP THE FAITH
I'LL BE THERE FOR YOU - RICHIE VOX
HAVE A NICE DAY
WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T GO HOME
BAD MEDICINE w/ Shout

ENCORE:
WANTED
PRAYER

Certainly not a bad set, bit short though. This time I'd love to hear I Believe or anything rare from These Days. See you all in the GC!

Still holding off on getting my tickets and keeping my fingers crossed for DC ticket only. I really hope it'll be a longer set though - I have to spend all night in the station after this show, the longer I can spend there the better!

You can afford a DC ticket but not a travellodge room?

Yeah, that was a bit short of a show, but they DID get Lie To Me, and I'd gladly take a shortened show with a song like that in the set.

Well, I can afford DC if it comes down to £110 like the Edinburgh one did. But being a broke student it goes pretty much like this: Would I rather eat nothing or spend a night in a station? Spend a night in a station. Eat nothing and get DC or eat well and GA... eat nothing

Interesting, when does the price drop usually happen? The hour before or something? Hell of a risk though. Well done on the Jovi first, food second attitude, clearly got the priorities right!

with edinburgh it happened yesterday so I'm imagining friday. I think it only happens if the VIP packages don't sell out cos they're usually only sold as packages. for £110 you only get the ticket, but I imagine there's some benefits to that... getting to the pitch first perhaps... I don't think I'll leave it any later than friday, if they're not on sale seperately by friday I'll just get GA/GC... so long as they don't sell out!

Thanks for the info, very interesting. Worth considering for future gigs.

I am doing the same thing...holding out
Price drop has to happen...its the only venue with all 4 categories still available...
And they would prefer to get you buying a half price £250 ticket than a half price £50 ticket
