Ashton Gate is a good venue - Bristol is a beautiful place - Hull was a wash out and a shithole as was the gig to match - Bristol wasn't a bad gig and they got Lie To Me ...

The weather forecast is 22 degrees and sunny - I for one am in Bristol at the weekend an contemplating staying an extra day to goto the gig!!!

I know, I went to the Bristol show last tour and enjoyed it. But the fact it doesn't look to have sold well at all, plus the fact it is a late show added on after the big HRC gig, makes me think it might be an average gig.

it was, at best, average last time round. That's not to say it was bad but Manchester was a ton better... bristol was (relatively) short and dull. not quite on the lines of what I hear hull was like though. I wouldn't be disappointed to get that show again I guess really.

I'm starting to get a positive vibe about this show, pretty sure it'll be better than last time (which wasn't too bad at all!).

Line up from Ashton Gate's website;

Running order

1730 Gates open
1810 Goldtrip
1900 Vintage Trouble
2000 Bon Jovi

If the weather's good then I'll try and get in for around gates opening time, if it turns rainy, I might try and convince the rest of my group to stay at the bar till the last minute and then peg it to the GC!

I'll be driving over from my place in Bath... Where is the best place to park? Do they have parking at the venue? Is there p&ride?

Many thanks,

Alex

They don't really have parking at the venue for this kind of thing. If you're coming over earlier in the day, before the 9-5er's have returned, you shouldn't have too much trouble parking in nearby Ashton/Bedminster/Southville in the residential areas, if you try it after that I'd recommend the bus/train myself, as it's likely to be busy.

GroupOn had half price tickets for Edinburgh and Manchester - Ticketmaster agent gigs. However, Bristol (Seetickets) saw no offers despite it being the one that was struggling the most. (Hyde Park is a different gig altogether.)
Therefore, I do wonder what will happen regarding late ticket pricing for Ashton Gate as they don’t seem to be too keen to shift what must be a fair few remaining tickets
