Is it really horrible that I hope it's a bit of a vanilla show? :P got my fingers crossed night two will be amazing and as much as I'd like to think they'd do two stunning three hour sets in a row... we all know it doesn't work like that.

I am curious about one thing though, has anyone been to a gig at the RDS before? How good a venue is it?

I am going night one. i chose night one because i expected it to be at least as good as the second night, given that they have not been there for a while and they would be excited to put on a good show. Do you really think night two would be much better than night one? hope not!!! this is the highlight of our year!!

Anyway, this is off tpic but i will ask and see if anyone responds.

WHY WOULD THE BOYS NOT PLAY 'Glastonbury'? ----- Would they not be welcome or something. Is it the 'not a real rock band' thing?

Night 1 Dublin better be bloody good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its a great ''wee'' venue..only about 25,000 capacity or so and quite intimate when compared to Croke park or Punchestown. Saw Jovi there twice, front row both times but that was before the days of diamond packages...

I think both nights will be great, for maybe different reasons - Night 1 Jon will be in a great mood (weather and pain permitting of course..) just to be back in Dublin which he has always said is one of his favourite cities. Night two will be special as there a good week or so downtime after the show for him to recover so he will probably go that extra bit further i think.

Either way, its gona rock and make hard rock calling look like Hull, see you there

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

Hopefully it'll prove me wrong then - I can order the best shows I've seen for Bon Jovi by arena size! I think 25,000 is smaller than Bristol (just) so it'll be the smallest Bon Jovi gig I've been to.

Can't wait, going to both nights. The RDS is where God rocked in august 2000, it was a magical night, thunder storm and all, and I'm petrified!

Then we had the following summer in June 01 when they finished with an acoustic version of One by U2.

As much as subsequent gigs have been amazing, Jovi in the RDS is special. And we have 2 nights so bring it on Jon.

Can't wait for both nights. I just hope Jon isn't lazy and plays the same set list both nights.

I would love to hear some Fahrenheit stuff but I know I probably have more chance in winning the lottery than that happening.

Also if he has to play songs from lost highway I'd rather it be the ones he hasn't played this tour.

No doubt I will probably enjoy it no matter what they play
