Guys,
the gig yesterday in Milan was simply amazing!
Jon stopped playing Because we can as he was touched by the coreography that all 50,000 folks in the stadium put up for the song and then he said we made him cry like a little baby.
I like to believe that we earned all the songs that they player.
Undivided was a request from someone in the front row, while for the last song Jon asked the audience what one we wanted to listen to, giving such options as "Bed of roses", "I'll be there for you", "I love this town", "Living in sin" and "This ain't a love song".
The band seemed to be truly amazed by what they saw.

And the main setlist was not boring. Believe me if I tell you that you would have had fun with all the people singing and dancing and jumping.

Anyway, here's the setlist that they player in the end:

1. Water
2. Bad Name
3. Raise your hands
4. Runaway
5. Its my life
6. Lost Highway
7. Because we can (interrupted by Jon and then reprised
8. What about now
9. We got it going on
10. Keep the faith
11. Amen
12. In these arms
13. Crash
14. Follow
15. Who says you can't go home
16. Rocking all over the world
17. Sleep when I'm dead
18. Bad medicine (with a little bit of Twist)

Encore
19. Dry county
20. Saturday nite
21. Love's the only rule
22. Wanted
23. Undivided (request)
24. Have a Nice Day
25. Prayer (with acoustic intro and then also the complete song with electric guitar)
26. Never says Goodbye (acoustic)
27. Always
28. These days
29. These ain't a love song (chosen by the audience)

Note: at some point Jon "celebrated" a wedding and declared to fans in the Diamond Circle "wife and wife"

Undivided wasn't a request from the front row.

Sounds like a brilliant gig.

All I remember is that he said they wrote Undivided together. Maybe someone else remembers more...

As for Undivided, yeah, Jon made it seem like a request, but it was on the planned set list. There were so many request signs... Santa Fe, I'm With You, Wild Is the Wind, This Ain't a Love Song, Never Say Goodbye, Undivided, One Wild Night...

Moments like that encore and those performances really proves that the band still got it. It may be a very rare sight these days, but I can't help smil watching some of those videos from the show. Fantastic. I'm really glad for all the people who went to the show.

Yeah, it was really really amazing a true blast!
By far my best concert!!!

Also, I think Phil improved a lot (I had seen them in Munich one montha nd a half ago) and now he sounds better. For instance i quite liked the way they played Dry Country and the solo that he did!
What do you think?

He said something along the lines of how he & Richie wrote the song together in the wake of the twin towers tragedy and how standing there in the San Siro with the 2 towers rising in front of him reminded him of that.

Absolutely awesome night and one of the best I can remember going to for a very long time. Added to the party the night before with Phil X showing up to sing "Highway to Hell" it was an amazing 2 nights in Milan
