Default Official June 8, 2011 - Maksimir Stadium, Zagreb thread

This is a big show for a multitude of reasons:

1) It is the first show of the European leg.
2) It is the first show of the last Bon Jovi concert leg for an indefinite period of time.
3) It is the first show that Richie will be back since his stint in rehab.

This is the first time the band will play in Croatia. I'm not sure what to expect for the set, TBH. Probably vanilla given the circumstances, but I could see Dry County showing up as a showcase for Richie.

1. Raise Your Hands
2. We Weren't Born to Follow
3. You Give Love a Bad Name
4. Born To Be My Baby
5. Runaway
6. In These Arms
7. Blaze of Glory
8. It's My Life
9. We Got it Going On
10 Captain Crash And The Beauty Queen From Mars
11. Bad Medicine - Pretty Woman
12. Lay Your Hands on Me (Jon on vocals)
13. Bed of Roses
14. I'll Be There for You
15. Something for the Pain (acoustic)
16. Someday I'll be Saturday Night (acoustic)
17. Who Says You Can't Go Home
18. I'll Sleep When I'm Dead
19. Love's the Only Rule
20. Have a Nice Day
21. Keep the Faith

encore:
22. Hey God

23. Wanted Dead or Alive
24. These Days

25. Livin' on a Prayer

After a break, it takes a show or two for Jon's vocals to warm up. (for the most part, right?) Vocally, Dry County has been hit and miss and this in the middle of a leg. These Days seems even harder on his voice. As does Always.

My bet is on Diamond Ring and if they are feeling like throwing a real curve ball, Radio Saved My Life... with the octave lower chorus of course. Or if they are real lucky... Captain Crash

I´ll go to Zagreb so I hope there will be some surprices. I don´t expect big rarities but I think songs like Always, These Days or Dry County aren´t impossible.

It'll be interesting to see how Richie reacts, he might be a but sheepish or maybe he'll have some fire in his belly.

I'm just glad he's back.

I'm hoping for "fire in his belly"; remembering his great guitar solo from "Any Other Day" at the O2 after his rehab stint in 2007:
I've really missed seeing Richie up there; can't wait to watch the June 8 vids on YouTube!
