I agree with not being able to stereotype a whole country based upon a few people, but considering how I once was engaged to an American girl, have seen about 10 concerts there of which 6 were from Bon Jovi, and have hung out with Americans in other countries as well I think it's fair to say I know what many Americans are like.
Jovitalk is where the die hards are, but they're a very small part of an average American Bon Jovi audience. For the most part, American Bon Jovi audiences are shit, no matter where you're seated, unless you're with friends who are as big of a fan as you are, you're surrounded by idiots, really. And that's American Bon Jovi audiences. Go see another artist and chances are the balance between idiots and true fans of music is different. There was no bathroom exodus when McCartney played Philadelphia, for example. I'm also not saying Americans are shit, there's plenty of nice people in that country. Most of them are just not going to Bon Jovi shows.
I strongly advise you to go see a show up north. The difference between an audience from Toronto or New Jersey surprised me, and frankly there's not that big of a difference between a Canadian audience and a European one.
Salaam Aleikum,
