Another big smashing job of Obie O Brien !

Vancouver night 2, this one was really really good. For me, songwise it was a better show but if I'm being truthful Fri night was probably a better overall show. Jon was in good voice, but by the time he got to TD and STBI his voice was tired and he struggled to hit the notes a bit. It was a goos solid performance of both songs and unless you are a diehard you wouldn't have noticed anything amiss and I enjoyed both very much. This really was a different show than the night before and as I was surrounded by casuals on this one, while they enjoyed what was performed they were a bit dissapointed at the setlist, none of them had been there on Fri. Some of them had seen the setlist for Fri though and that is the show they wanted.
I thought for a minute after the encore they might come back again like they did for Always the night before, but Jon had started rubbing his leg like he had cramps in it during the encore so despite how loudly the crowd cheered, they were done. I really think Jon gave pretty much all he could over the two nights. Richie had another amzing playing weeekend and this version of LYHOM can stay awhile, it's great!!

I agree with you. I think Friday's show had that extra spark to it that wasn't quite matched the night after, but saturday's set from a diehard's perspective was pretty decent. I, too, thought that there would be a second encore; it sure looked that way. I guess if he was hurting/tired, that could explain why they only played until 10:30. They could have easily gone another half an hour and lengthen the set to 30 songs if they were up to it.

I really think Jon was just toast by the end of the encore. He gave himself up both nights and I just think he couldn't do anymore well, so he said no more.
