Hey Everyone,

I attended last night's show in DC. It was the 1st of 5 shows for me (Nxt up Ft.Lauderdale & all 3 shows in NJ).

This was a spur of the moment decision to attend it but it was def worth it.

Now I have to admit after tracking the set list from the entire tour (esp that last few shows) that there was a good chance I was going to get an autopilot or standard set show. I was right about the standard set BUT the band was on anything but on autopilot.

In fact it appeared that Jon had a lot of energy.

Now I have to admit while on paper the set list looks pretty dull & boring the show was anything but boring.

Happy Now: I was skeptical about this as the opener but it def works! Great energy. Most of the crowd was dead for it tho.

We Weren't Born To Follow: Sounds a lot better from the clips I've seen.

Bad Name: Usual big reaction

Whole Lot Of Leaving: Please no more songs from LH! WGIGO is the only exception because the crowd eats it up.

BTMB: Always fun to hear and never get tired of it.

LH: See Above

Beautiful & Superman Tonight: 1st time hearing them live & enjoyed it. Jon's voice sounded great!

WGIGO: This song gets the crowd up & deserves to be in the set list.

BM w/ Roadhouse Blues: Last few tours I was saying this song needs to go esp because of Shout but adding this to the set brings gives it new life.
I loved it!

IML: Got the crowd going.

LYOM W/Richie: Would have loved to hear Homebound Train just to hear Richie but more of his own twist in to it but LYOM was performed really well.

HALLELUJAH- Not a fan of this song

*The Next 5 Songs Were Highlights of the show for me*
IBTFY- Felt great to finally hear this song the way its suppose to played.

Something for the pain- Major highlight of the show for me. 1st time hearing it live & it sounded great. Too bad the crowd was dead for it.

Sat Night: Again sounded great acoustic

KTF: Performed w/ a lot of energy and should be kept in the main set.

Work For The Working Man: Was hoping for Bullet instead but both songs are my favorites from the album. Performed well & I def loved it.

WSYCGH: I cringe every time I hear it but the crowd loves it.

Loves the only rule: On paper it doesn't look good but performed it works perfectly well to end the main set. Jon clearly loves this song & there's a lot of crowd interaction.

Encore:
Runaway, Wanted, LOAP:

I was hoping for something from 7800 but instead got the exact same encore as MSG2. Was very disappointed w/ this encore.

Final Thoughts:
This show was def for the casual fans because the rare songs the fans don't respond well to.

All in all w/ the exception of the predictable set list & horrible encore it was still a GREAT Show!

4 more shows to go! Nxt Stop for me will be Ft.Lauderdale
